So do you get double your wage in ctc and wtc then? That's good isn't it I'm.glad they are rewarding working mothers now. I can't wait to finish studying and earn money lol I hate been skint lol.
Is suggest getting a new claim in or going down.to the offices tho. I still think the tax is stupidly high unless your in London or something lol good luck keep us updated0 -
Maybe that might be the best option for you.
You get now (£8968+£2352+£8574) Total per year of £19,884 income and you pay out (£3406+£3564+£1120) £8090 leaving you with £11,794 per year or £226 per week.
If you didn't work you would save £65.50 per week by not having to pay the child minder. Your child tax credits would increase to the maximum amount of £3,100 per year and your housing benefit and council tax benefit would also increase to the maximum amount of £3,564 and £1120 per year. Depending on the age of your daughter will also mean you could get Income Support of £67.50 per week (£3,510). You can keep your child maintenance of £196 per month (£2,352) and your child benefit of £20.30 per week (£1,056). So you would get £10,018 per year (£193 per week) and all your rent and council tax would be paid.
Is it worth working for £33 a week?
I'd rather go to work for the £33 than stay on a benefit system - I didnt have kids (Am 6 months pregnant) for everyone else to support them.
The admin error at the counil was ridiculous - They put i was earning £30 an HOUR and that DD's fee's were £40 a week. Not sure whyb I havent been given the 25% council tax discount - still waiting to hear backizzieprest wrote: »So do you get double your wage in ctc and wtc then? Nope, Am in the midands. Annually its £1091 - with the 25% single discount It's £818.25 for the year. When I put in my single claim the council said they assessed the year (April 11 - April 12) and that i needed to pay £116 a month then it would be changed in April 2012.
My WTC & CTC cost is 164.88 - Wages a week are £186.92 (before tax and N.I) so no, not double
(P.S - Has anyone noticed that what i pay the council is actually more than what the yearly council figure is - I cant work it out either!
112 x 10 is £1120 a year. However - the council website says band A is £1091 a year - Difference is £29 - No council tax is owed as have always paid up front but no one can explain why im paying the extra £29?)0 -
You might be like us and pay it 10 monthly0
