It really does depend on your issue.

Generally it should be fairly simple to manage an ebook reader.

You can view the demo video and there's a help section.

Hi all, I've gone for one of these. I realise I can probably buy books from Amazon or similar places individually, but does anyone have any experience of buying one of those CDs/DVDs with 10,000 books on (or similar) from ebay ? Also, as this has no wifi, I guess it must be a case of buying the book in a certain format and putting it on my PC - I've watched the ecalibre video, so see once I have the book it is all straightforward. I've got a kindle account (for my tmobile pulse mini andriod phone) and books seem to go automatically to there rather than a PC. Sorry, just realised this should probably be in the techy forum not here in the grabbit. Thanks, Sal x
  • I struggled with the same concept but I have it sussed now. You buy the book (Free if your lucky) and then find it in documents.. turn your ereader on and connect to laptop/pc with USB.. and then drag drop it from documents into your ereader folder along the side. Pretty easy once you know how. The above Link changed the format from TXT etc to EPUB etc.. ;)

  • They have ended the listing early as no longer available, they may try to cancel some existing orders

I'm so pleased you've managed to get it working.
This is one of the best replys I've got from MSE.
Me and the missus both have Kindles and have downloaded loads (there are ways if you look) of books and read so much more since we got our e-readers.
You do need to search on Google, as there are loads of web sites that offer free ebooks. But make sure you have a good Firewall/virus checher enabled. But generally, even via Amazon, you can get lots of free ebooks.

Getting miffed now. 11 days later and no eReader and no communication from Currys/PCW at all. I dont want to put in a claim - I want the eReader!! If they don't contact me with a response by the end of today then it will have to be a big fat neg - which wont really matter to them with the amount of items they sell!
  • I just received the following e-mail:

'We refer to your recent purchase from Currys PC World Outlet.
We are very sorry, but the item you purchased is no longer available and we cannot provide the product you required.
However, we do have the following products as an alternative:

    - Samsung E60 Reader

We can reserve one of these as a replacement, once you confirm your acceptance. Please note you will not be charged for the greater price difference for the specified alternatives offered.
If the suggested alternative units are not acceptable, a full refund can be credited to your PayPal account by the close of business today.
We look forward to hearing from you.'

Does anyone know if this is a good product? The reviews don't seem to be too great, but the price is higher. I really just want an ebook reader that's simple for my mum and that she can use to download free books. Would this be suitable?

    Thanks :)
  • i have just received that exact same email, and have accepted the samsung one, its for my niece so im sure it will be fine, although i may have a fight on my hands, they said i had to let them know by close of play today, or i would be refunded, i sent the email at 17:12 and apparantly they class 5pm as end of play, so i may have lost out on both( couldnt have sent it soner as been at uni all day!!!
