Well, at least that's a bonus. Hopefully they will have you in later and give you a talking to, and you will discuss with them what to do if requests like this come your way again. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

Fingers crossed!0

I would go along with whatever your employer wants right now and keep your head down. Don't talk to the others about the situation as it will only make things worse, just say you're worried and you don't want to talk about it any more.
You don't want to compounnd it further. i wish you luck and hope they take you back.0 -
I'm not sure how you can be bringing the company into disrepute. You sent emails from one practise to another, which I'm presuming are in the same trust and all part of the same company; so you've just send an internal email.0

OP - it seems to me from the tone of your first post that you seem to think that you are totally indispensable and therefore bullet-proof. I think you may well get a rude awakening if (and IMO when) they dismiss you.
If you were on annual leave you had absolutely no right to use your work email account and you may well have done untold damage to the reputation of your surgery.
I can already see where you're going with your question can you be suspended and on sick.
I can imagine that you alone will carry the can for this and your colleagues will probably get away with warnings.
I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but it's how I see it.0 -

.
being on annual leave doesn't mean you can't use your work email; that's why people have access to it when they're not in the office.
Managers and upwards are often expected to check emails and reply to them if required when on leave.0 -

Sending an email with the CV's of all of the admin staff suggesting that all of the admin staff at that practice want to leave there would make anyone think that there is something wrong with the practice!
Using work email is off too but not part of the disrepute! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

which is still different from bringing the company into disrepute; unless it was just wrongly worded.0 -

As the OP's employer has cited 'misuse of email' as one of the two reasons for suspension, it's clear that the OP didn't have permission to use the company email account whilst on leave in that way.0 -
