I want a SIM free (unlocked) IPhone 4. Firstly, is there anywhere that I can get one cheaper than the Apple store ( not eBay). And would the price come down a lot once the IPhone 5 arrives?

to get an iphone 4 cheaper than list price nope, not unless you go 2nd hand from somewhere like CEX.

here's what happened last year the 3GS was out and the iphone 4 was just about to be released, the 16GB 3GS was £500 and the 32GB 3GS was £600, the iphone 4 came out and the 16GB ip4 was £500 and the 32GB ip4 was £600, they also released an 8GB 3GS for £420.

all indications is that will happen exactly the same this year.
the lower capacity iphone 5 (either 16GB or 32GB) will be £510 and the higher capacity (either 32GB or 64GB) will be £610, they will also release a lower capacity iphone 4 (some are calling it an iphone 4S) for £430 this may be in 8GB or 16GB, otherwise spec wise the new iphone 4S would be the same inside as the iphone 4 is now.

again all this is just rumour but I think it's pretty likely, also there will be a short time after the iphone 5 is announced that iphone 4 stocks will have to be sold off, there will not be a big price slash if any it would be about £10-£20, but then you would know the iphone 5 spec and you can make a decision if an iphone 4 as it is now would be a better choice over the iphone 4S or the 5.

    hope that helps
