Please move to the right section if not already.
I am looking for a office printer that I need fairly soon and have specs that I need but I don't know where to buy from. I have looked at viking direct briefly but I want to ask for advice from others as there may be websites I don't know of that have cheap prices.
I have listed the specs below so would be really grateful if someone could find me a printer which could suit the things I need:
Printer
With feeder
Colour and mono
Double sided print
High quality
Cheap cartridges
15,000 paper (can allow to print that many in a day or less)
Cartridge that will print that many mono pages
And would also like to know where to find 15000 paper to print on at cheapest price.

If I've understood you right, that's a seriously heavy duty printer you're after: 15,000 sheets per day?
I think the techie board might be best, however.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Not per day, but I have to make several booklets for 50 people which consists of 250 pages per person. So I need to be able to print 15000 pages in a week for example, not per day. After that it will be a paper here and there or durin events but at first I will need it for some booklets.Pink is so not my colour :undecided0 -
OK, you might also want it to do stapling?
I can't help thinking this is going to be a big outlay: for really top quality I'd go to a local printer rather than attempting to do it in house!
I've bought from Ebuyer. Reviews are mixed but they've been OK for us.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I'm okay with stapling because I have something else to hold the papers together.
I have an event and need to organise the books. 50 people, 250 pages per person.
So the printer needs to be able to take 15000 pages in a short space of time (over the week) and take a cartridge that will last for much of that. It will all be in black and white.
Then in future I will be doing the same but not so many papers. It will probably be a much shorter scale but the printer must be good.
I don't need top quality paper, all I need is a printer I can print with. The quality will come from how I put the papers together so as long as the printer prints fine I am okay with it.Pink is so not my colour :undecided0 -
You need a repro machine mate, not a printer, if you have to do it in house a lazer is the only affordable option, the inkjet On my calcs will cost around £600-800 just in cartridges as opposed to £75 for the toner refilling .Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Have seen 15,000 page yield toner cartridges here, however, they list them for discontinued printers as well, so you could ask which high yield cartridges they have for current printers with double sided capability

Then check for other prices when you have narrowed it down, and possibly post which printers you are considering in case anyone knows a reason to avoid them0 -
Thank you for your replies. I am looking to spend up to £400 including cartridges but I'm not sure where to look as I've never bought one before. Has anyone got an idea and can post links as examples?Pink is so not my colour :undecided0

Are your booklets A5 (folded A4) or do you need A4 booklets (folded A3)?
High capacity laser printers eg the Ricoh SPC821DN come in at £5000+ and add on extra for 2000 Sheet Paper Feed Unit £555.00. That's 50 pages/min.
If you want higher volume then you are probably looking at a colour photocopier with a computer interface. Ricoh MPC7500 is 75 pages/min - and comes in at over £16,000. That sort of machine will take in paper at one end and pump out brochures at the others.
This sort of machine needs professional unpacking and setting-up. You may well find it cheaper, and more reliable, to rent/lease a photocopier for a fixed monthly fee and a per-copy cost, with the benefit of an engineer on call if you need it.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
Saw this for the paper, getting 15 boxes is cheaper here, though they should quote you a better price if you order enough for a month

Sorry, I've just seen you want to do this for £400. You'll be lucky to get a laser with a duplexer for that money, never mind one that will take even 500 sheets at a time input/output.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
