I wanted to move my Phone line from BT to O2

I currently have a truly Unlimited ADSL package with O2 and dont particularly want to give it up. I'm also looking at cutting back a few costs, and I saw O2 Home Phone at £7.50/mth which is about £4-5 cheaper than what I'm paying BT now.
I rang them up but said under no circumstances did I want my broadband package transferred to the new deals. They said this was IMPOSSIBLE! Due to some incompatibility on their 'system'. So frankly if I want to move my phone line over from BT I have to relinquish my truly Unlimited ADSL package.
Fortunately I've read that the Primus line rental is only £6.79/mth and that works great with O2 Broadband. Looks like I've saved myself an extra 71p a month

Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Are you going to put up some evidence for this or are you just trolling?

Thanks for the information Heinz. It would seem that paying my BT line rental up front would be the best option overall. I'd still make a fair saving over the year.
