Experiences of Using Primus Saver Line Rental

I'm looking to switch my line rental to Primus based on Martin's newsletter this week and wondered if anyone had experience with them in the past?
From what I've gathered the customer service is lousy, but I'll never be using it for calls (I'm only looking for a line to use a BEUnlimited broadband package on).
As long as the line is reliable enough for an internet connection to run on that's all I care about.
Thanks!

I moved to Primus £7.99 tele line back in Jan...
Moved house now, this is where the nightmare has started... All done via email, and the useless company dont respond to emails, so as yet, dont have a new line in my property, and no response from Primus customer services, am just left in Limbo.... (kinda like ringing o2 broadband cancellation dept, 35 mins in a queue and still no answer, USELESS!)
So my point on Primus is: If u use for the full 12 months, then its OK....
If moving house, in or out of contract, expect to get nowhere!0 -
I also joined in February after a recommendation on MSE, but I wish I never had. It took a month to connect me properly, and since then I haven't been charged the correct amount once, and I have also had no sense or joy from customer services. I've even written now to their 'Customer Relations Team' in London, but despite them only having 7 days to acknowledge, I'm still waiting 3 weeks later (no surprise really, they are sh*t). My advice - DON'T TOUCH THEM WITH A BARGEPOLE! You will end up stressed! :mad:0

I tried to contact them today with a view to transferring to them, again after reading Martin's advice.
I made 6 calls to their sales line and each call was terminated by a recorded voice saying that "it was not possible to complete the call at this time, call back later"
Tried their Customer Service line and it rang and rang and rang.
Sorry, Primus, but if you can't handle sales calls, far less Customer Service calls, then you are not for me.
Martin - perhaps a little research into the ability of companies you recommend before endorsing them. You must be aware of just how powerful one of your recommendations is.0 -
