You can still get the fresh stuff in any deli in france! Macedoine de legumes, i think it's called. Absolutely fab - eaten from a cardboard box with your fingers. Ahhhhhh!0

Dega Homemade Salad on the chilled Polish section in Morrisons tastes similar. It is basically diced potato, carrot and peas in a mayonnaise dressing, £1.25 a pot.0

I used to eat this constantly when I was pregnant in 1979. I couldn't get enough of it. Sitting at 3am with a can and a spoon.

I absolutely ADORE Heinz Vegetable Salad - had it since I was a kid. Asda haven't had it in ages and neither does my local Co-op so I've been hunting around but it seems Heinz discontinued it in 2011. Such a shame. If they bought it back, I'd stock my cupboard up with it!!
