Well done Angelina
Was the laptop reduced on the SEL of did if scan did cheaper?
Well I looked at the display and first of all found the e-machine that had SEL for £149 but it said out of stock. I scanned the paper slip anyway and it scanned at £49. I didn't ask if they had any because I didn't want one of those. I found a flip ultra (camcorder) paper slip so took it to the counter but it turns out they had sold out, anyway I was chatting to the girl when she said they had been really busy and everything was going, then she pointed to the Toshiba sat in the back and mentioned that she had just found that and they had been very popular all morning, of course I said i'd have it!
Gosh that turned into an essay, sorry about that!:rotfl:0 -

I started buying groceries elsewhere...
If I worked in one of these departments, I'd never do it, and in fact I would complain furiously about staff members I know are doing it. That or I'd just try find their secret stashes and sell them to members of the publicand hope to watch the staff member's face as they see their precious item leave the store.

AlwaysSmiling wrote: »Hi Guys,
Well done on the finds! I managed to get 2 shavers for £10 after a long week. I saw some of the discounted camera's and asked early this week for them but was told that the particular staff member couldn't get them off the stand as they were the last ones available and to go back on Friday. I went back at around 8pm and was told by the person who could take them off the stand that staff were buying them all as he came into work!!! I was supppppeeeer mad but hey, that's life.
As I was looking at the other camera's I noticed they had a Canon IXUS 105 for £89.99, the guy scanned it using his hand held scanner and it came up at that price, I noticed some people on here had got them for £30. Can anyone help me out and let me know if they managed to get one for this price.
I don't really want to ask to get one and then decline it at the till
Thanks!
Same thing happened to me, i think you will find it was a pink one that was £30.00, the silver one was 89.99 - although the SEL at my local said 140 or thereabouts. decided against it as you can get them online for close to 90.00. - edit - sorry just noticed someone else posted same answer!0 -

I share your scepticism. IMO what the staff are doing amounts to theft/obtaining goods by deception http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deception_%28criminal_law%29 (withholding items from sale waiting for the price to go down for their benefit) and they should be sacked and reported to the Police. It is theft really as the company they're paid to make money for loses out - while they probably slap em all on ebay as a side earner and I doubt they pay any income tax on it. Add on tax evasion to the list of charges.

I'm disappointed with this comment, thats all I shall say on the matter0 -
