Thanks, did you see what they were reduced from at all? xx
I took both to the till and the sel said £99 and he scanned it at £79.00 I said no and then he said the next one was £24.00 so that was a Del Monte Moment and even better with a spend and save coupon.:jJan 2011 £10 Sports Direct, Football and 442 Subscription. Any chance you saw any of the reduced hard drives in the Newport store? I think that's the only store near I haven't been to yet.0 -

I always report back to this forum anything i find that may help others, and if you look at my posts first before slagging me off you will see this is true.
I still stick with what i said about it being a dog eat dog world, so yes i do sort out family and friends first - but can you tell me hand on heart that you wouldn't do the same?
Of course I would consider immediate family if I saw a legitimate bargain that I thought they were going to buy anyway but I don't speculate as seems to be the practice with so many greedy people. That however is my own moral stand and I realise that there are those who have the funds to buy hundreds of pounds worth of goods and the time to do it(true moneysavers in the spirit of this site?)
I also have the difficult moral/commercial problem in being a Tesco shareholder as are many people with pension investments who don't even realise that Tesco profits and hence share price/dividends are contributing to their potential pension.
I was in my extra this morning looking for any tail-end camera bargains but not surprisingly with no luck. I asked for scans on a number of items and was quite open about why. The assistant was quite helpful and called the area manager who she thought had unexpecxtedly uncovered some cheap items. He was very helpful although he did confess that with the amount of work they had to do it was often the case that customers made him aware of till prices. In fact I did point out that the Flip camera that they had on the clearance shelf priced at £40 would chek out at £20. (H e said he would go through the stock and price them accurately. I had cause to go back later and saw that indeed it had been priced lower.)
I did vent my frustration at genuine legitimate bargains being snapped up by people in bulk for easy profit from vulnerable people and he did confirm that it was a concern to Tesco (they read these threads). He personally will now not allow any person to buy more than a certain number of items as there is a growing belief that they are being resold for profits when the intention is to attract shoppers to clear stock at a realistic price(i.e items not selling because they are basically not worth the original price)
To be honest everyone likes something for nothing but you don't have to sell your soul to the devil to feel good about it.Awaiting a new sig0 -
Same in Stockton. Looked at them and thought what a bargain and then thought, hang on a minute, I've never used headphones in my life. It's only a bargain if you were going to buy some anyway. Unless of course it would make a good present for someone.
How many were left please?I hate twitches, but I LOVE glitches!!!0
