I waited for 5mins at the CS desk in mine whilst the two Tescos ladies scanned toys for a group of women who were obviously their friends. They wanted a toy hamster thingy but more than one. They checked and stock showed three so one Tescos lady said I bet they're in somebodies trolley who's still shopping, one of you distract them and the other swipe them. All I wanted was a flippen student discount leaflet.

I got an Acer laptop from S++rr+y Qu+ys last Friday , £199. Cheapest price on the internet for the same model is £400 , very fast machine and I am very pleased.

I actually asked for the model , the guy infront of me asked for any cheap laptops and the sales guy said no.

So I think if you ask for a particular model they will look for it, if you are lucky they will have one. If not ask for another model and so on.

I think everyone who wants electrical items that are in the electrical store rooms will have a better chance if they ask for a specific item.

I got some other small items at Orp+ngt+n extra , but I think they have mostly gone now , if I wanted another lap top I would try at Orp+ngt+n. They have a large display of laptops , so I would guess they carry a large sock. So I would expect them to have a lot of the discounted ones.

Tesco W3st0n Ave Cardiff did actually have a few things, the laptops were priced @£345, but reading back a few posts they may not be that price as I didn't scan them! And, get this guys, a price scanner was working! I kid you not! I managed to scan a couple cameras and they were £99 (tthe nuickon coolpix) I'm wondering, is it possible that some stores havn't reduced their stock yet? The reductions just weren't as good as that list.

Can I ask where the scanner was Mahri? I've only ever seen the one down near the drinks and I can never get it to work!

Didn't make it to P3ngam Gr33n at lunchtime but might try my luck after work :)

  • Just picked up my HP laptop @ £149 from E**tbourne Extra! Used £5 off £50 spend I got yesterday and £3 off £30 sent with my vouchers so just £141! So eldest son's Xmas present done and didn't think I would be able to get him one this year - all thanks to the lovely people on here!:j
Tech guy checked prices on Dell's out the back but all still £349.
While browsing I spotted T's double electric blanket on high shelf. Asked SA to get it and price check. She was stunned when it came up at £2 and asked how I knew so gave her directions hoping she'll be helpful next time!

    Couldn't find anything else though...
Still more toys going out but disappearing quick!

I've just got back from the N£wton Ab*ot Store and there is nothing there. I did see several sat navs, cameras and phones which were marked ex display but were scanning at the prices shown and were not reduced by very much. I don't know if these will eventually be marked down...might be worth keeping an eye on if you live nearby. Did pick up a basics deep fat fryer for £6.30 which I thought was a bargain but that is the usual price at the moment.
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
