HP G56-106EA laptop £134.99
HP mini 110-1160SA netbook £99.99
Both on SEL had orginal prices, just went to the self scanner and scanned ticket the other day and been going in to see if in stock and finally are :j
Also theres a couple other at my tesco which are £399 and have £100 off but doesnt tell you, we only knew because we scanned it. There was a samsung netbook also 249.99 and scanned at 149.99 but we didnt need another0 -
Could someone please explain how I would go about getting one of these deals? im in desperate need of a laptop after starting college again and like everyone have veeerry limited funds!
I've read through various pages of this thread and im still confused!
Do I print off the list and take it into my local store and ask at the catalog kiosk and see what they have?
(I just noticed this is my first post! Im surprised at that because im on here all the time having a browse! lol)
NOOO dont go to direct, there only in store bargains! Literally asked electrically desk for the items and there'll tell you if in stock or not and ask them to scan them, do not think the price on the ticket is going to be the price you pay as its not0 -
its a curious issue this .. there are few people here who appear to "use a lot of petrol" and willing to travel "great distance" to "fill their boots". now clearly in the main this for them is a business and they are not obviously a casual bargain hunter.
so whats the issue, i suppose its the political/lifestyle divide. that is the "me generation" (the banker - politician types guilt free and little empathy for others ie right wing neo liberals) vs those who have a social instinct, believe in community and seek a fairer equal society.
this is a grabbit board a site that encourages you to 'fill yer boots'. in essence if youre looking for social justice and big hearts as a norm .. its not going to be here in abundance.
Whoa hang on a minute. I've 'used a lot of petrol' and i'm willing to travel but as to filling my boots? No way! Its certainly not a business either. I can't work due to personal reasons but I claim no benefits or anything, we live on my hubbies wages.
I have bought what I would 'like' and there has been a few treats yes. I haven't bought multiples of things and usually there has been more stock on the shelves but why would I buy it if I don't need it? I don't want to ebay it and make money.
I will travel miles. If I read on here that there were some Lumies in a store within an hour and half from me I would go there. PS let me know peeps and i'll be off!
I'm actually enjoying this bargain hunting. Its great fun searching for bargains. I usually take my elderly mother and she is having a ball! She got a Flip camcorder for her hubby for Christmas which she could never usually afford as she's on a pension.
I've not got into the arguments up to now but I think its unfair to assume people like me who have put the hours in these last few weeks should be classed as greedy!0 -

Im finding this too good to be true? knowing my luck they won't even have laptop screen wipes!!
Thanks for that, I may have to try to badger my sister into driving me to our big tesco!0 -

Well I'm one of those that's posted that I have "used a lot of petrol" in the last few weeks and I'm definately not a business! and yes I am a casual bargain hunter who has got xmas pretty well sorted as well as picking up lots of other things that I am delighted with. I have actually picked up things for other MSE'ers to help them out as well. I appreciate that people are buying and selling for profit. but don't assume that someone who uses a lot of petrol and travels great distances is doing that. This is a grabbit board and to be honest if you don't like the idea of people "grabbing bargains" perhaps you shouldnt be reading this forum, end of rant;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -

We thought it aswell, but i thought we might aswell give it ago. Talked to the SA and she just said that they are all discontinued and they just hadn't updated the SEL tickets. After there sold out, there gone. Just need the balls to go into tesco and scan the items you've seen. Trust me its worth it0 -

No wendy that's not the exception, I think you are being very judgemental in your thinking. I think that you will find that the majority of people that are "milking" these electrical deals are'nt even registered with MSE they are just skimming the information off the boards.Beware!!!! and youre another exception. now breathe easy. deep breaths .
i was only making a very general observation which may or may not be valid. its an opinion not necessarily to be taken as fact.
to add : i do think it is about ones "personal politics" and where one stands in the political spectrum.0 -
