I officially give up. I have a rubbish tesco. Scanned a few things everything was still full price and it wasn't worth the embarrassment walking up and down!!

I wouldn't worry about feeling embarrassed. All the stores know what's going on and are probably used to 100 people coming up and asking them to scan stuff. It's really the only way you'll find any bargains. They simply can't keep up with all the price changes being sent down to them (was told that there were over 2400 price drops on hard lines sent down over the weekend). If you keep that in mind, you can see why the prices are wrong - Tesco head office keep changing them, and the PI depts can't keep up with them (as they've got their normal job to do as well!).

Finally got to the till about 2 hours later and the nice checkout lady saw our bargains and got a member of staff to run around and get her some. HTH someone, any more Norn Iron MSE'Rs out there with any luck on the toy front?

LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: OOOhhhhh, I wish I had a thick skin....had a pile of things in my trolley, no scanners, asked for a price check on one item, some straighteners listed on here and they went through at stated price. I really didnt fancy showing myself up asking for everything removed if they came up at ticketed price when going through self service. Did manage to get the Thomas sodo set as the SEL was £3 and a 30p paddling pool so pleased I came out with something. Wish Id taken a list tho, couldnt remember everything Id read on here. Im new to this so next time gonna take a list. Would be sooo much easier if there had been a scanner.

finally got a bargain that i really actually wanted! bought a belkin tunecast auto universal with clearscan for £3. They sell elsewhere for £20 - £30. Also bought a Technika 7" digital photo frame but realised when I left that I dont actually need it! I will take it back tomorrow. Had a look at ebay seller takymydeals, he/she has barely sold a thing! haha! After paypal,ebay and postage fees they wont make alot from it.

i've had trollys full of stuff and asked for them to scan it today. plus i've been three times as i had to walk and can only carry so much on my own. the staff just laughed with me and even found themselfs some bargains. i dont blame the staf from grabbing stuff when they find out. at the end of the day. if we worked there , we would lol . happy hunting tomorrow peeps xxxx
