Wishaw will always be my fave T@sco, as that's where I got about 50 packs of the lucky tomatoes (remember them?!) last summer, we only just finished them about a month ago. We're students so this was a godsend!Come ride with me, through the veins of history...
I'll show you how God falls asleep on the job.

They are in a stand of their own at back of store between optician bit and where you get the cooked chickens.
They also had the kenwood TTM320 toasters,SEL £14 but scanned at £2.04.These are upstairs where all that kinda stuff is.
Just to save anyone else a wasted journey - I am just back from Wishaw Tesco Extra and can confirm that there are NO Kenwood toasters left upstairs (None on shelf as of 10.15am) And downstairs the Tresemme ac2000 hairdryers are scanning at £28.....so you were either lucky or you were telling a very funny joke......:p Either way I hope my post helps someone.:cool:0 -
What a strange morning! I went to s*rr*y q*ays store at 9am this morning and immediately checked the self scanners. Annoyingly all 3 were switched off (intentianally no doubt). I then went over to the electronics department where there were about 8 members of staff rifling through items that had been put into trolleys. It became quite apparent that during the night the staff had taken all the bargains of the shelf and were now in the process of deciding who gets what. As annoyed as I was that the trip I made was wasted I dont blame them, they got there first and that is just the way it is. I did ask for a few cameras to be scanned and, while they were cheaper than the marked price, werent any cheaper than buying online. I then spotted a member of staff with a trolley of 3 hd tvs hurrying down the aisle to the back of the store. There was a another member of staff waiting for him at the back doors shouting 'good work lad, good work!'. I then went over to the toy section where there were about 20 customers filling their trolleys with toys for as little as 10p. I picked up cluedo for £4 and uno for 55p which isnt too bad! Finally, on the way home I saw a man on a bike with a Vax carpet cleaner being held between the handle bars and his chin. He was wobbling all over the place, hilarious.
You didn't happen to see what brand/size or anything the TV's were did you? there not just something you can pick up and casually scan are they, lol :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Just a few bargains at Haslingden store this morning tesco earphone 46p, television aerial leads 56p, lots of usb leads and extension leads all cheap but did not need them, camera cases cheap, also bedlinen cups, glasses etc they were all on shelves on the first aisle at the top opposite the clothes, bins of small toys 10p upwards did not need any so left these, round the corner toys marked down, no hoovers marked down and there is no price scanner working in the store, but there was lots of photo album bargains for those who managed to get the cheap cameras the dearest one was leather look one which was £1.00 and the chjeapest was 20p which held 40 photos, they were down the first aisle where the magazines are and on the end of a shelf there was lots of them left.Jan lunch to work days 0/200
