The final notice is usually the last you will hear from them.

Please tell your gf from me (and I am just a wife and Mum) that she's being scammed if she thinks she should pay this! No-one has ever been to Court and lost against Parking Eye. To date, the only time that Parking Eye have ever done Court was the time a victim actually paid and then reclaimed it back in Court. Do not be victims of this scam.

It's not a fine, ignore it to the end.

But you/your gf need to do a bit of reading I think. Here's the first page of the current forum posts:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.php?f=163

Read the permanent sticky thread 'PPC letters' at the top, to see whether this is likely to be the last letter. If you get a different letter-chain please post a pic of it in a reply there on that thread.

And read 'welcome, please read before posting' (LOL!) to see the advice and to click on the must-see Watchdog link.

I PROMISE WHEN YOUR GIRLFRIEND HAS WATCHED THE WATCHDOG LINK WITH THE PAPER AEROPLANE SHE WILL CALM DOWN ABOUT THIS SCAM!

Then just choose any other lower down threads at random, read any which are not about real Council PCNs. Your gf will soon understand why this is no 'parking ticket'. Tis just a money-making scam, pure and simple.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I got one of those and having taken advice from members of this forum and another - I ignored it. The letters kept coming and coming and finally they stopped.
Some of the letters can be quite scarey (if you read them). The one thing that they had in common was using the the words "intend" or "intention". Meaning that they intend to take you to court, or intend to send bailiffs, or intend to whatever else.
If you are of a nervous disposition, you will find it hard to ignore them - but, if you can IGNORE.
The advice given so far, is spot on. Good luck.
