What should I go for?

Hi all,

I have been a customer with o2 for 4 years now, and over those 4 years have been encouraged to up and up my tarriff to a whopping £40 per month minimum although that does give me 1000 talk minutes and 2000 texts a month.
I used to use all of these and more but have cut back drastically as I realise £40 a month is too much to pay on a phone.
I know I would spend that on a payg so I'm wondering if anyone has seen any deals anywhere with roughly 1000 texts and however many minutes for roughly £20-£25 a mnth?
Dont really want to do cashback, I would never remember to send it in.
Also looking to get a nice new phone... not Motorola or Nokia!

speak to O2 they may let you downgrade.

I pay £20 for 750 minutes and 1000 text with orange but only beciase i've been with them years.

Check out the Retentions Thread (warning - it's v long!) for what you might be able to get from O2.
3 Direct have a deal for 1000 text + 300 mins for £17.50 per month (18 mth contract) with some of their phones. LG U300 and U890, SE608i (refurb), V3x (refurb), Nokia 6280 and 6233 (both refurb) are the models available until 31/1.
