I posted a thread a couple of days ago re buying a flat at auction, I'm now concerned re the lettings agent for the flat as there is a 6 month AST in place with home trader group ltd....... All I can find when looking up this company is a negative thread on here MSE! Seriously putting me off going to the auction, I don't know if they own the property, but I'm waiting for the Auctioneers to post the legal docs re the property so that I can find out.

You were warned about bidding on a tenanted property on your previous thread. What do you expect us to say? You still haven't found out who is the landlord/agent/what kind of tenancy.
I can only advise.............
Your other thread also has duplicated advice. Yawn.0 -

Clearly you're not here to add anything to the thread so wind your neck in... I clearly haven't taken any steps to purchase the property, I have the tenancy agreement and it's all signed and I know that it's an AST for 6 months I know exactly what the tenant is paying..... The reason I've started this thread is due to the letting agent (hometrader) and there dodgy rep on here. So please read My post before adding any more drivel0 -
Whoops, less than 24 hours later, and there is the first problem with your propsective, ideal, dream purchase, that you are so bound to make money on!
Sorry for the sarcasm, but I agree with GM.
We have all read and contributed to your previous post already. Pleased that you are atleast taking some notice and have actually read the tenancy agreement now. What effect do you expect this company to have on your prospective purchase? They are apparently letting agents - you are planning to buy the property, so what is your question here?0 -

HAHAHA what a couple of twerps.... I have asked for advice re a loan I didn't ask for advice re the property (if you care to read my previous threads very first post) I had already read the Tenancy agreement, the EPC and particulars for the property. Now I have researched the Landlord/letting agent and I am taking steps to resolve the issues I have with them.... So ditto for you, Wind your neck in.0 -

What issues do you have with the letting agent?
They don't seem to be a reputable Lettings agent. There is a thread on here re them. The property is set at a good price and the expected rent for the property is good, but obviously one has to be cautious when buying property at auction, Once I have access to the freehold info and complete legal pack I can make a decision on what to do. Trust your instincts and my instincts are telling me to be wary.0 -

Just saying, like.
They seem to purchase properties themselves & sell them on at a "discount" involving various "deposit" schemes of dubious efficacy (please excuse my quotation marks of sarcasm). If they're already the lettings agent for this great deal property why wouldn't they be purchasing it, you'd wonder?0 -
