Evening everyone, we had our shopping to do on Saturday plus bought a couple of other things out and about, so have just added up my spend so far - £73.19
It's weird how you end up spending so much without realising it, and the total goes up very quickly
Am hoping I can go a couple of days without having to spend anything, but I would imagine something is bound to crop up it always does
Just off to update signature now

Did have to buy £12.24 of bits for two wedding cakes I am making but I am not putting this on my personal grocery budget......did well as went into a lovely large Mr.Ts and only bought what I required for the cakes.
Have been baking and covering cakes this evening.

 Evening all...... well, I ended up with a NSD today because the rain was so torrential I would have needed a wetsuit to get to the car
So, veg shopping delayed until tomorrow, and meal plan adjusted accordingly. Have a list and am going to do a bit of a trawl to compare prices on things I buy quite a lot of, like muesli and fruit yogurts. I tend to buy these without paying much attention to the price to be honest, and I suspect I could get them cheaper, but on the other hand I don't want to end up saving just a wee bit and ending up with something I don't like. Yogurts especially - I only like certain flavours and the multi packs always seem to have a peach or apricot one, which I HATE, so that's a bit of a waste of money! Going to have a nosey round A*di & L*dl in the morning.
I think I may actually have turned into my Grandad (he's in about 4 supermarkets every single day, bless him) and if I ever get a job again I'll have less time to do this, but might as well make use of the free time at the moment.0 -
1st spend of the month today. Mr T delivered £93.76 of stuff to carry us through most of the month. Hopefully I'll keep out of the shops until Friday for a milk, F&V, bread top up shop for the weekend. Will be having slow cooker meals this week so I can bung some in the freezer for later in the month0

Had to pop to Mr T last night for a few fresh bits and urgently needed some black trousers for my work induction tomorrow. Was feeling a bit peeved and frustrated as, as usual, couldn't find a good fit - so went for the closest fit and will have to take the legs up. So I wasn't 100 per cent happy and even when I got home I said to my hubby I might take them back as I really just bought them in desperation, only £8, but still, money is v tight. Then, I checked my receipt and realised I had only been charged £1.50 for them!!! My mood instantly brightened - for £1.50 I don't mind having to adjust them!!!
So, need to declare £13 on fresh bits (milk, veg, fruit, cheese and some crackers, eggs) and the trousers!! The joke is, I was feeling a bit of a failure as I had gone in the evening in the hopes of picking up stuff reduced and not been able to find anything - never knowing the bargain I had sat in my basket!!!September GC £341/£3000 -
Good Morning folks :heartsmil
I have just woke up, but can happily state my 2nd NSD for today
I have an old work colleague visiting today, who I haven't seen since I was made redundant in January... it's all very exciting
I am particularly happy because rather than meeting at a coffee shop (my usual choice) and having to spend a lot of money, I simply invited her to my home (where I have a perfectly good kettle and brew supplies :rotfl:).
And in the afternoon I have another friend visiting, so other than walking the dog I will pretty much be at home all day
I may have to spend tomorrow though, the milk is getting a little lowDebt Free Journey started 21.05.20170 -
today will be my 3rd nsd as i got milk and fruit yesterday, and have plenty of everything else already inloves to knit and crochet for others0
