Automatic removal of threads after number of reports until Mods look into it ?

Sounds good in theory but there is another well known site where this operates and seems to be used by those who think they own the site or have opposing interests. It just doesn't work. Pity- as if it were genuinely used to get rid of spam posts then it would be a good thing.

i think they meant the total accross all people reporting

not just works for one person with 100,000

well what COULD happen is that there is a cooling-off period here, too. For example a 48 hour timelapse between registering as a member and being allowed to post.

I've posted on a couple of threads today, started by 'new posters' (could have been AEs) who have been PPRd. Within hours of joining.

This would also reduce the number of spam posters too.

Although I have been a member since 2006 it was ages before I got the nerve to post - and even longer before I dared post in The Arms!
