Popycock. If you are paying £150 trade for a 'decent' (whatever that means) bath more fool you. A Roca 2.2mm steel bath for £120 easily - sometimes £100. Look around. Hell, tey will even pre drill the tap holes for you for that :rotfl: Now thats MSE

Im happy with mine - then again, I dont play with my hammer in the bath :D

ROCA...Says it all really, If you think ROCA is good quality then more fool you

I would consider ROCA to be on Par with PGH Stuff, Ceramica etc Would i fit in my own house NO, Would i fit in a customers NO

What would you do, take a shower in the garden with a hose pipe, Or bathe in a Gorilla Tub:rotfl::rotfl:
Oh don't be absurd - its only a few weeks till they plan to tear the whole thing out anyway. Submariner's bath (rub down with an oily rag and stacks of phoo, phoo dust :D) if they've no friends or family or a swimming pool nearby will suffice in the meantime if a strip wash at the WHB isn't acceptable. Personally I'd be bringing the prog forward and getting on with with a new bathroom now and junk the one with the hole in rather than faffing about throwing good money after bad.
BTW in the circumstances of "start the refit now" your little catfight.gifwith Ronnie this evening would be making sense.

    Cheers

I find myself wondering if that should suprise me. Then I find the thought that I should be thinking that rather worrying. Then I wonder what's for dinner.

    Cheers

sometimes wonder what peeps get up to in their baths.
ive fitted/used 100-199 quid baths many times. never a single problem.

ive never understood why anyone would refurbish a bath tub.
    stupid is, stupid does.
    Get some gorm.
  • I actually don't think you can beat CT1 - it's like magic stuff. Me and my hubby had the exact same problem, and our plumber applied this from the underside a temporary fix. Lasted 2 months approx before we changed it over!

Pretty good I though.... Like a tenner a tube I believe?

Seems like the right answer to me, for a temporary fix.

Seems the wrong answer to me. I doubt it is sufficiently flexible.

What the hell is a gorilla tub?
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • We had a hole in our bath for several months before we managed to persuade the suppliers to replace it (for free - was supposed not to crack but it did), in that time we just put duct tape over the crack, held perfectly OK, just made sure we had a container underneath as well to catch any drips. Would recommend it for a temporary fix.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
