    1) E4, More4, UKTV Bright Ideas, FTN, UKTV History
    2) No, those channels are FTA - Free To Air (free - any box can pick them up, no card, no subscription) and Ch4, Five, Five US, Five Life and Sky Three are FTV - Free To View (Free - Sky box required, Sky card required, No subscription).
    3) If you want to record from Freeview, best get 2 scarts, 7 day EPG is a good thing to have.
    4) The Sky box and Freeview box are all the digital require, a digital TV is simply a TV with built in Freeview or in some cases digital satellite receiver.
    5) They can be, as long as you make sure they all accept RGB.
It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!
(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)

Virgin Media are offering a free set top box to users of it £20 a month broadband package. As well as 8mps broadband and the set top box you also get Anytime calls to UK landlines and Free PC security as well as Unlimited downloads, for full details check it out at:

    http://www.virgin.net/allyours/digitaltv/whatis/

You do need a phone line where you pay the line rental to BT though.

P.S. check out my petition for better publlic transport without needing road charging http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/PT-funding/

I've just bought one in Asda for £20. It's brilliant.

It also stands up on its side rather than laying flat which is great for anyone with limited space :)
  • Anyone got any new deals regarding the freeview boxes with a card slot.

I want to get Setanta sports (so I can watch my beloved Droylsden in the conference) and just have the standard freeview box at the moment.

Setanta do offer a box at £39.99 which I think is pretty good as you can go back to them if it goes wrong and they are currently offering the first month free!!

After reading more on the Setanta site they are selling a Sagem box that they say is also available in Poundstretcher/Instore shops - anyone got one?!
