Does anyone know if the analogue signal to ITV1 has been reduced over the last couple of months? We have a freeview box, but have never been able to record any digital programmes ( not really a problem to us) but I do like to occasionally record ITV1 and the picture is so poor nowadays that I can't.0

A little off topic I know but my freeview box is only showing in B&W since my grandaughter fiddled with it - any ideas on how to rectify please? Also can you attach a freeview box any other way than via a scart lead? Many thanksMiddlers0

Has the picture setting on the Freeview box been changed to S-Video, instead of preferably RGB or PAL if your TV is dodgy with RGB.
Or the TV could be switched to S-Video setting instead of RGB or PAL.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

Only one scart socket though. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... also it doesn't come with a scart lead, offering one with it at half price which takes it up to a little over the amazon one - good deal though if you have a lead already!0

....and don't want easy connection to be able to record from the Freeview box or be able to have both the VCR and Freeview box using just one scart socket on the TV.
If it's for a bedroom TV and you don't plan on recording and / or don't have a VCR connected too then it's not too bad. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... We did have Sky - but cancelled the subscription.
We are now left with lots of additional channels - presumably these free to air/satallite ones already mentioned, but my children are nagging about E4 which we don't get.
I was going to go out and buy a freeview box this weekend, but would value your advice.
1) What else will I get apart from E4, and is it worth it ?
2) Will getting a Freeview box actually mess up all these extra free channels we are currently getting ?
3) Obviously price IS an issue, but what sort of features should I be looking for if I do buy a Freeview box. I have read most of the posts on here, but am confused with all the scart leads/points/switches and HD, record/multi record, record while watching etc.... details people have mentioned.
4) Don't know if it is relavent, but the Tv is an old one, so probably not digital.
5) At the moment the children have to constantly switch the leads/wire between the DVD and VCR player and the PS2, so would one of these 4/5 sockets someone mentioned be a good investment ?
Many thanks for any/all advice, The Old Bag is completely out of her depth, and although I WANT to do the right thing, I dread wasting time and money on a Freeview box, which either doesn't do everything the children wants it to do, or is obsolete in 6 months
I know people have posted about getting REALLY cheap boxes, but I wouldn't mind spending a bit more if it gets a better end result;)0
