I got my first mag today.. wonder when the gift will come?

my £3.00 direct debit came out and i got my first magazine but no free gift yet.

i have now cancelled the direct debit.

Does anyone know if this is it, it does seem to good to be true im expecting a nasty letter saying i have to pay more money but i never received a confirmation email nor could i find any 'small print' when i joined up to say anything other than £3.00 for 3 issues.

anyone any feedback from these mag offers good or bad??????:money:

Generally it's just as simple as that, pay your direct debit, cancel it ,get your 3 free and that's it!
However .... with other subs I have always received the free gift before the mag so will just wait and see with this one....
Mind you I'm on my 7th copy of Radio times now, they just keep sending them and they can't take any more money out as I cancelled the DD straight away!

Has anyone received the free gift yet? When is the best time to notify them that I have cancelled the Direct Debit? Have just received the second mag.

Same here! I've got a feeling we're not gonna get the gift! Or not until you get the 3rd edition which is prob when the payment is taken.

I can see a pattern developing here, none of us seem to have had the free manicure set.

I too have had my first 2 mags, £3.00 taken and no free gift.

I have cancelled my dd with my bank, havnt notified the company, do we definately have to notify the company?.

In fact iv forgotten who i ordered this thru and dont know who to contact re: not getting free gift or who to contact to say iv cancelled dd.

any advice or do we just take the 3 mags for £3.00 and forget about the free gift?

I don't know, I just presumed that if they try to take the money and you haven't notified them otherwise it would go against your credit rating.

I asked them about this and had an e mail saying to allow 28 working days from 6/2 when the offer closed, so there's still time yet.

I am on my second issue and like you all have not yet received my gift. I have just called them up and told them I wanted to cancel my subscription as I wasn't happy with the service and that I would rather buy Elle in the shop. The lady cancelled my subscription no problems and told me cancel my dd which I have now done. She said that the subscription would end after the next issue (May). I was ready to tell her that both issues I received did not have the extra booklets which the shop ones came with but I didn't need to tell her. I generally didn't get the extra booklets but if you are worried give the publisher Hatchette a ring on 01858 438846 and use this as your excuse to cancel. Hope this helps.
