I got to Elle and the offer no problem0

Hi the offer is still open to me - but I'm a bit worried about this:
"An initial 12 month non-refundable contract applies. Unless written notice is given before the end of the initial term, the subscription will continue as a rolling 12 month non-refundable contract."
What constitutes a written notice? A letter to the magazine group?0 -

It's a bit unclear as to wether the 12 month contract applies to Elle from the first Quarterly Direct Debit (£3) or afterwards - I know with some magazines like Trail which come with a generous free gift, the minimum subscription is for 12 months. For other mags like Marie Claire and delicious there is no mention of a 12 month contract but for these mags it does specify that you can cancel and pay nothing more: eg: "Try Marie Claire today with 3 issues for £1 when you pay by Direct Debit. If you're not 100% satisfied, after receiving your 2nd issue, simply cancel and pay nothing more."
However it does not say this for Elle (which is a different publisher) so I am not sure. Their terms and conditions page has the same info: http://www.subscribe2.co.uk/store/subscribe2_info.asp?link=terms&secure=&sid=2262
They publish
* ELLE
* Psychologies
* Red
* homes
* Real Homes
* ELLE Decoration
* soaps
* Inside Soap
* All About Soap
* teen
* Sugar
So the 12 month thing would apply to all of these magazines. You could contact them and ask?

Thanks for this - I've applied for Marie claire and Instyle with no problems before because they clearly specified that you can cancel after the initial trial but it isn't clear in this deal. Think I'm just going to pass on it for now.0

If you are interested in this then the magazine offers sticky at the top contains this and loads more bargains! I haven't paid full price for a magazine in 6 months and got plenty of free gifts too.
Also if it ever says offer now closed it is often because you can't get a direct link from this site, if you cut and paste the link in your address bar it often works then.
Finally the magazine group used to be on quidco but it was stopped because some people signed up for zillions of magazines at £4.80 cashback each time!!!!0 -
I wonder if the 12 month has just been addedLike my post? Then use the THANKS button :rotfl:0
-
Has anyone had confirmation that you can cancel the subscription after paying the £3? Thanks0

Magsite is your site isn't it?
The forum has a very clear policy on posting links for personal gain and on declaring any interest. Almost all of your 164 posts are promoting this site - often several times in one day: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/search.html?searchid=7025770&pp=25&page=2
Posting under another username, [malcolmord] either you (or your spouse/ partner) was also warned about posting pyramid scheme links on this board way back in October 2004: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=56485 nevertheless continued to do so: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=18136 and that username was I think shortly afterwards banned from the mse forums?"The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
