Due to the discount they got on the cars they couldnt offer enough for her to buy and run her own
vehicle.
Also the boss asked people to collect items and drop items off locally, Again she couldnt do this because she
ony had an auto licence.
May not apply to yourself but something to think about.
Thankyou for your reply. I understand on the job front with company car, but bit confused as to why she couldn't drop items off?Married 09/09/090 -
First find an instructor you like and get on with. Then pass an automatic test. Later you can take lessons in a manual and upgrade your licence.0

She couldnt drop items off because the company cars and the bosses car were manuals.
Company policy not to let staff use their own cars for insurance purposes. Unless you have business miles
added then your not covered for these types of journey.
Rather than ask all the staff for proof of insurance to show they have business miles (delivery) it was easier to
only allow company cars to be used.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Watch old episodes of "Driving School" on youtube, and realise that even Maureen eventually passed her test.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I passed my test on manual but six months later I tried to drive an auto and liked it straight away and changed for an authomatic and do not regret it at all. I feel more confident and relaxed on the road. Go for an auto. It worth it.0

Im having my mock driving test today really nervous,i know its not the real one but it might as well be,my instructors colleague is a ex examiner .:D0

Hope it goes well debbie. I decided to stick with automatic lessons, had one yesterday with a different driving school and it seems that that there is bits my old instructor should have taught me, more to do with knowledge. This new instructor seems good and he doesn't think it will take me much longer.Married 09/09/090

Oh thats good moneysaver12, my usual instructer turned up today he apologised and said it was next week not this week, wasnt impressed but the good thing is we went over some thing which i wasnt to confident with,i am now so roll on next week,im driving my hubbys car to n from work,n should be able to get some practice in over the weekend to anyway let us know how you get on n when you pass your test,my instructer said to me today think of ur test as an "assessment" rather then a test and think to yourself "just get in the car and drive".He also said the majority of people who fail their test fail because of nerves.GOOD LUCK ;-)X0
