Too good to be true? HP G72-b10SA at saveonlaptops.com?

Hi all
I'm looking at this laptop:
http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/HP_G72-b10SA_1085494.html
and I'm thinking it looks a bit too good to be true!
- Intel I3-350m CPU
- 6GB RAM
- 17 inch screen
.....amongst other specs of course.
I've checked the usual sites (ebuyer, dabs, etc.) and they don't seem to have anything near this spec for the same price. Processors are generally dual-core P6100, etc. or AMDs. RAM is usually 3gb or 4gb.
So have I found a good bargain here? Anyone recommend any other 17 inch laptops for around the 400 quid mark?
And is it worth paying more to buy through a company better known and perhaps more reputable than saveonlaptops?
Many thanks
Max

looks ok, had a quick search and it looks like everywhere is out of stock - however everywhere i saw it says the max supported memory is 4gb even hp site says that http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02505575&cc=ad&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_ukenThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Cheaper here
http://www.pc-titan.com/product_info.php?currency=GBP&info=p30677_HP-G72-b10SA--XF128EA-.html
May be someone will post the details of the site then you can see whether it is OK to order from there0 -
Looks a good price.
My guess is it's been knocked down a bit because of the relatively small 320GB hard drive.
I say relatively, because I don't store more than about 30GB of data (mostly iTunes library), and am unlikely to add to that significantly.
Do you - or does anybody - need 6GB of RAM?0 -
Decent enough price. It's cheap because it's old stock - the old chassis from HP (which I don't really care for, but some people really like) and the first generation i3. But it's still a great deal.Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
The only review I could find was here http://www.itproportal.com/2011/02/01/40190-hp-g72-b10sa-laptop/
Crucial says it will take 4gb RAM per slot
I believe that Titan's price is ex VAT, and would only drop ship from third party.
Good luck certainly looks good. Wonder if we will see more HP discounts now they have announced they are exiting the PC hardware business?0 -

With regard to the laptop, note that the screen does not have the manufacturer-favoured "HD resolution", 1920x1080, but 1600x900. This means, as Esqui say, that it is an old model.0

HP are not "exiting the PC hardware business", however inexpertly they have managed to inform people. They are "rethinking their PC strategy". See, for example, this article.
Me thinks they are two big to exit but guess they might re-brand/distance themselves.
HP don't appear to have the best of reputations on these threads and there is probably some reason for this even if it is just mud sticks."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Okay so HP may exit the PC business, or there is a 1 in 3 chance they may keep it - does this change the sentiment dramatically, and/or whether the OP should buy one? I leave it to you, I don't believe everything I read, but clearly HP's strategy is under a significant review..............0
