When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Morning gang  hope everyone is well :A hurrah Wednesday already :T
well wishes to everyone feeling under the weather - after a week of feeling terrible it felt AMAZING to feel better on Monday & yesterday so take heart it will get better!

Morning all!
Just watching BBC Breakfast news where they're talking about it being the coldest summer since 1993 and how to keep warm - its August! The tips revolve around the usual stuff - using an energy monitor, hot water bottles, jumpers, shorter showers, only using the washing machine with a full load, drawing curatins.....
My mortgage completes today - got a phone call from the solicitors yesterday, all systems go! The first payment in Sept will be about £100 more than the subsequent ones but it will save me about £50 a month and its fixed for a couple of years so I'll know where I am budgetwise:T
Other things for today....- Walk the dog lots
- Stick to diet -rejoined fat club last night and have set myself a target of 8lbs, want this gone ASAP
- Post ebay parcel - only listed last night and its sold almost immediately on a buy it now thingy - cash raised (£17 profit going into the Xmas fund
- Read Martin's email
- Do school work - was very lazy yesterday:(
- Write shopping list
- Do meal plan for next week
- Do some cleaning ready for mum's visit tomorrow
- Update diary
- Look for vouchers/discounts for things to do/eat when mum and sister are here
- Not put heating on!
