Glad I logged in, have done nothing for any of my targets today.
Must try harder. (read in voice of school teacher)0 -
I'll join, but want to keep it modest and stick with the health.
I stood on the scales today and have tipped over into 60kg+ for the first time in 7 years. I lost nearly 10kg over a period of 3 years up to 5 yrs ago, and I am just so upset that it's crept back on over the last year.
I want to get back down to 56kg by Christmas.Borrowed £150,000 in an offset tracker mortgage in May 2007 - MFD May 2041 (67)

The 4 stone weight gain
I have a bit of an addiction, multi-packs don't last the week or day so I have gone cold turkey probably for the rest of my life but I can't be trusted :rotfl:Mortgage Aug 12 £165K, Aug 19 £0

OK I might have to come back and edit this post as I'm soooo tired [v long day at work] but wanted to get something written before we are too far into September...
Health
Excercise for at least half an hour 3 times a week. Have arthritis and sore knees so its painful to go on the exercise bike [from Freecycle :j] but good for me so will build up to that.
Drink more water every day
Cut down on cake and biscuits
Money
More into ISA
Take lunches to work don't buy them
Only buy a max of 2 coffees a week0 -
I was wondering if i can start on sept 7th instead of today, as thats when I get all the kids back to school and its a fresh start.
Plus I have just eaten a huge meal at the harvester for dh's birthday.:rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -
newgirly - hope you enjoyed the meal!
another one who seems to have tipped the scales without quite noticing how I put on wt (though I know it was the huge amounts of junk I was eating!) ... so thats a big goal for me - more for health and also feeling comfortable in myself and my clothes! not very MSE to have to buy new ones!! Am slowly after 4 weeks or so getting into the groove of eating much more healthily and fruit or the like for a snack (rather than chocolate/crisps/cake) doesnt seem such an alien concept!....
On the frugal front my plan is to empty (or at least make a good start) freezer and fridge and cupboards before hitting the shops again , this should take us a good few weeks (with the exclusion of perhaps needing bread and milk and a few bits of fruit) so am hoping at least till next payday!
Other than that a fairly frugal month ahead- one meal/drinks out with a friend in a couple of weeks and a wedding bash to go to but probably wont drink too much so will take £20 ish of fun money for us both.... rest of it is just catching up with friends/family at ours or thiers so shouldnt cost anything! (ps glad to read others are thinking of xmas, I may have got slightly carried away on the shopping/planning already! :rotfl:)0
