Is the player actually capable of supporting 3D? I know the Playstation 3 had to have a firmware update to enable 3D playback of 3D Blu-Ray discs.

Thanks .Yes the player does support 3D and i have tried a 2nd player to be sure and still not getting the transmission.

I apologise that some of these ideas might be stupidly obvious, but you never know!
1. Make sure the Blu-ray disc is 3D - the copy of Despicable Me I have here has a separate disc for the 3D movie
2. Press the 3D button on the remote and see what happens
3. Make sure that the glasses are within range and can be detected by the TV

@1 yes most of the movies comes with 2 copies and i did insert the 3d one .
@2 yes i press 3D on the tv remote and of course i get to choose 3 options of 3d ..... 1st is 2d to 3d and second is side by side while the 3rd is top and bottom ...none of this formats is able to get it right ...Its there other formats aside these 3 my samsung has ? By the way the samsung tv is LED 6530 and the 3d player is oppo
