Footiemad, it might be an idea to 'phone the company you got the tickets from - find out whether they can be transferred to another name or not. If it's possible, how much will they charge?
Please check before you put the tickets on ebay.

Or you could ask your Mum / Dad / Granny if they'd like to go with you? Seems a shame to miss out on a great holiday because your bf turned out to be not worth it..
  • You should call the travel agent you booked it with and ensure you can change the name and how much it will cost. I've just broken up with my bf and wasted over a grand on non transferable/refundable tickets to NZ!
  • I guess so! I think it would just be couples there though which would make it quite difficult to meet people!
  • Package holidays are rarely transferable and if they are there will be a cost attached to doing it. have a really close read of the documentation. If you've booked a room for two people you are going to have a very hard job indeed finding a complete stranger who'd be prepared to share a room with you.

I've been away on holiday by myself loads of time and it can be a lot of fun. I often get "adopted" by people who think I need a companion. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.
  • fancy going with me shouldstopspending?? haha. What a nightmare!
  • Sounds like bliss to me - no-one'll bother you, you can relax 100% and just enjoy being by yourself for a bit!

I hardly ever have a minute to myself and I swear, going away on an all inclusive alone would be my idea of heaven at the mo!!

Don't think the idea is to go with her, but to sell both tickets!
  • I'm one of the people that thinks you should go by yourself - if it's an all-inclusive at a resort, you will be safe, and my friend who has been on holidays by herself says it's more fun because you tend to be more outgoing and talk to other people rather than sticking to your group/each other. You might even make some new friends, and it will give you the perfect opportunity to get over your ex!

I think I will end up going by myself. It will be hard but I'm sure it will be better than I'm expecting!!
  • Get yourself there! Don't let him ruin your holiday :)
