Wow! that will be about 80% in Oldham

For some of the areas even I wouldn't look at maybe, the reality of what I am looking at is £145k to £115k.

With that I haven't sold a property to make money or been holding back buying waiting for a drop, just timing seems to be working well for me. (Complete luck)

People on here might try to convince you otherwise but that is what getting the best deal is all about.

At least I don't pretend to be anything else, its seems to be going well for me and timing is just blind luck.

With that there is much hard work going on which is my own doing to which the deposit is going to come together rather quickly.

  • Oh come on . Fess up . House prices are being held up by knocking the savers , stupid low interest rates and denial of the real state of inflation . The real question is , why they went through the roof in the first place . Low interest rates ? Well a few years back the BOE base rate was 5% which is low . Now 0.5% , not so much a problem , more a cry for help . 6 figure sum for a dodgy bit of tat where I am . Madness .

On a lighter note ( cough ) consider just how much cash from the tax payer is going out to renters who are not in work ?

Clearly , a lot more as in my area prices have more than increased by 300% . Well thought out plan .

Pretty poor that so much of the economy is based on the madness of HPI .

You'll always be able to pick up on something. If prices did crash 50%, you'd just claim you were correct as someone, somewhere, suggested they would crash 75%, therefore, bulls win.

Prices did fall. I'd rather be in the camp that suggested prices may fall / crash, than be in your merry camp, buying at the peak as there were no falls to be seen on the horizon.

Theres only a few of you who feel the need to go round constantly, creating thread after thread, suggesting you were "more correct" than the others you despise, precisely because they were, in actual fact, correct.

Theres no-one of a bearish persuassion having to go round dragging these things up and pointing out where someone said something that didn't happen. They don't feel the overwhelming need to prove others "more wrong" as they were clearly wrong themselves. There was one "bear" who did this, but you collectively managed to get his lips conviniently sealed.

You don't need a psycology degree to figure out the common running bitter theme in these constant threads about other forums.

    A generally sound assesment.

Though technically my particular MO is proving wrong those who persist in trying to prove that those who were clearly right were wrong.

There is of course a clear difference between regularly deconstruction spurious intellectually bankrupt arguments and regularly making them, though I appreciate this is lost on some.

It's funny how stupidy hasn't changed though eh pimp?

Why have none of infamous rampers bought property recently, when you lot do... I'll admit things are changing, but until then anything you say is just hot air attempting to protect your (greed) paper wealth....

A bit touchy aren't you Graham? You sound like you have some empathy with the twisted ill-wishing doom mongers who would have seen hard working families out on the street just so they could steal their homes at half the price, then laugh heartily at their misfortune.

Thats a rubbish argument, It's called house price correction, Price are still dropping here in Cheshire and I will only buy when I feel the prices are at rock bottom.....

I live in Cheshire and I don't see many houses for sale.

Ah, the timing game. If you do want to buy, you'd be as well spending the time finding the right place for you to be living long term and just going for it.
