There was one "bear" who did this, but you collectively managed to get his lips conviniently sealed.

Have you any evidence to support that claim?
If I don't reply to your post,
you're probably on my ignore list.

You'll always be able to pick up on something. If prices did crash 50%, you'd just claim you were correct as someone, somewhere, suggested they would crash 75%, therefore, bulls win.

Prices did fall. I'd rather be in the camp that suggested prices may fall / crash, than be in your merry camp, buying at the peak as there were no falls to be seen on the horizon.

Theres only a few of you who feel the need to go round constantly, creating thread after thread, suggesting you were "more correct" than the others you despise, precisely because they were, in actual fact, correct.

Theres no-one of a bearish persuassion having to go round dragging these things up and pointing out where someone said something that didn't happen. They don't feel the overwhelming need to prove others "more wrong" as they were clearly wrong themselves. There was one "bear" who did this, but you collectively managed to get his lips conviniently sealed.

You don't need a psycology degree to figure out the common running bitter theme in these constant threads about other forums.

A bit touchy aren't you Graham? You sound like you have some empathy with the twisted ill-wishing doom mongers who would have seen hard working families out on the street just so they could steal their homes at half the price, then laugh heartily at their misfortune.

You've always flatly denied that was what you wanted to see, but perhaps you've harbored secret opportunistic desires to grab a bargain. BTL perhaps?

As for my merry camp, where have I ever said I wanted to see prices rise? Or that I even own a home? Where have I said I even live in the UK?

Personally I'm glad these wretched, greedy people were wrong and their nasty little campaigns of misinformation were treated with all the contempt they deserve. It's a bit like watching the spoiled little school kid fall off their chair and get up with an agonised expression to declare "well, I don't care... didn't hurt".

Oh stop being such a hypocrite.

Firstly, that line is very tired.

Secondly, if you are going to use it, then please think before you do. As if thats true, it's just as true you also want hard working (just those who do not own homes) people out on the street, just so your home increases in price.

It really is a rubbish argument.

GD says he's been silenced. Perhaps it was an underworld hit.

Yes only joking I know he was banned. Incidentally the site to which he has been banished it tearing itself apart today. Banned me a couple of months ago and today there is a request on the front page to have me re-instated (and the second most viewed non pinned thread on the front page is one of mine).

They played this as I was leaving:

Indeed it's amusing how everyone's changed their tune.

"Crash is in full swing now, prices are dropping in real terms round my way"

What happened to 50% off by Christmas? What happened to that graph of Grahams where prices were going to fall to an average of £25k after we'd all capitulated?

HPC having a particularly entertaining day...... ;)
"Yep, for those of you in LLagerrub-y -Bumphuk in the valleys the legendary 20% falls may be real for all I know. You are not in the majority, I suspect. Here on the south coast in Brighton we are at least 15% up on prices for anything remotely decent or central within two years...from two bed flat to detached. Don't know where the famous chart fits but it isn't here and will not be anytime this decade. Saving and waiting is a one way ticket to poverty. "

"The daily posts on what the rags have to say just makes me depressed, angry, happy then rinse and repeat for the next day . When I say adapt I mean the moderators have to look at where the majority of people comment and provide information, the topics that start to get hot. However, the moderators seem to put the flames out every time. You can't force you contributors to focus purely on a house price crash, what happens if the crash does happen - a big cheer, pats on the back then close the site down?

This site has provided me with a wealth of information on houses, none of it necessarily to do with a crash. This site needs an upgrade, perhaps starting with the name? "

The houses I am looking at have only dropped £30k (and the line is still pointing down), so yes the bulls win as £30k less on my mortgage is going to have no benefit to me... oh wait...

With that I haven't sold a property to make money or been holding back buying waiting for a drop, just timing seems to be working well for me. (Complete luck)
