Very strange, so does this come through on your monthly statement?

Where have you got this information from? Your first payment? The first payment is pro rata'd so will not be the full monthly amount, and is usually only a couple of pounds. I wouldn't do anything until you've only payed 18p for a couple of months. Although I'm sure O2 will notice in the interim

to let you have more info, i had a mobile contract for a relative who has recently passed away.
It was originally £15 pm with a £5 pm loyalty discount, bringing it to £10.

On letting them know of her death, they couldnt cancel as it was in my name, but would take £10 pm off the bill as a goodwill gesture, not already realising that it was already £10pm.

REsult is the bill is now only 18p per month
