Incorrect Mobile Phone Contract?!!!!
Options
Hi all,
I went into phones4u in april of last year to ask for a handset only upgrade, i was told that i was signing up to a 24 month £15p/m contract which i was perfectly happy with. Anyway, when it came to signing the contract i pointed out that it said it was an 18month contract. The lady who i was served by said that although it said 18months on the contract, a 24 month was being set up.
Anyway its now nearly the end of the 18month period and i was wondering if i could dispute this error and try and get another upgrade, as i also kknow that the person who served me no longer works there.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
James

Hi Parkop
What you will probably find is that the contract term is 24 months, however, phones 4u will have probably put you on an 18 month price plan ?
I know from experience that is what usually happens. I hope that I am wrong but fingers crossed you might be able to get a new phone earlier
Cheers

hi thanks for the replies,
i thought thats what has happened, i will try them tomorrow morning and tell you how i got on.
Although that said, my sister had the same thing happen, and phones for you paid off her contract and she just took out a new one lol/.0 -
Hi can I ask what happened? I think we have the same problem. I insisted on an 18 month contract as my daughter is going to uni and I don't want to continue paying her bills. When we've contacted phones4u they say we took out a 24 month contract when I know I insisted on 18 month. I can't find the paperwork my daughter kept.
Just wondering home many others are locked into 24 months not 18.
