I bought 3 packs of AAA yesterday and they were free, it seems very hit and miss.

Worked for me at 12.00, only bought in batches of 6s and 12s though.

I thought I was going to actually be sick at the thought of not being allowed all my free batteries and free shopping! I went through ss and didn't add up my other shopping so the till said -£1! Thought it might've spat out a £1 coin but no such luck!

Just back from Tesco in Wh*t*ly. They only had 4 of the AA 8 pack so I made it up to 6 with 2 AAA 8 packs. I only got the BIG2F. Still a good deal as I need batteries anyway;)
Out of interest the sel said BOGOF not B1G2F

1st step get 3 packs if you get 2 offers kick in you will get them free.
2dn step if you got them free then get them in multiples of 6 and they will pay you £3.50 per 6 packs

Ok thanks for the info guys, looks like its not going to happen for me then lol. My store had been cleared out by 10am yesterday so i'm assuming it was working then but not now.

Worked for me in sneckie extra rp. New SEL said b1f2f, which was not there yesterday.

Tip; do self scan and get your money in quick, preferably a note larger than that due as as soon as they have accepted your money the transaction is complete - if you start fiddling for change it gives them more time to spot the error.
