PC is painfully slow and unresponsive..please help !!

    As above,

    They don't tend to come with discs any more, the operating system is on a partition on the hard drive.

    If you want to know how to get to it, just google the model of your pc and restore.

    Ie, toshiba satellite 330 restore......

    Once the pc is up and running properly again, use the inbuilt facility to create restore discs..

    I am on XP and I've got 768 mb of RAM

    Follow the "closed sticky" and I would also recommend upgrading RAM. Easy to do and 2Gb costs about £22.00 from Amazon.
