I am getting a new computer for my teenage daughter and we cannot decide whether to get her a laptop or an all in one PC. Could anyone help me with this?!?!?!?!?!
The laptop and PC are:
Packard Bell TS44HR034 15.6" Laptop - White
Packard Bell oneTwo S A4226 UK 20" All-in-One PC

If you are worried about a portable computer being damaged, why not just get a normal PC?0
-
Because she wants a webcam and mic built in to the computer and there are no normal pc's with this0
-
Packard Bell - no comment.
Get a cheap but powerful Dell PC with a monitor from dell direct.
And just get a cheap webcam/mic combo from somewhere like amazon - job done ?0 -
Why does the webcam and microphone need to be built in?0

Standard tower PCs are cheaper to buy, cheaper to repair, last longer and easier to upgrade when you need something a bit more powerful. Get a separate webcam (even a £20 webcam would be better than the built in ones anyway)Squirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.

Both laptops and AIO's are vastly more expensive to fix if they are going to get abused. If she's that careless, then a bog standard desktop PC is the best solution, as any part can be easily replaced. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

laptop (different brand), and tell her to look after it.!!

Can't speak for laptops as I have never had a HP one. Have had Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba and never had a problem. They do seem to have a bad press on the forum from a number of posters though.
As for PCs I have a Dell, mine, and 2 HPs(both newer and supposedly better spec). Out of choice the Dell is a better machine. it is quicker and makes a lot less noise."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
