    Hi lovely gang:A

No time to catch up with everyone tonight as we're being closed down in 25 minutes!!

Just a quick comment for jinty - ((hugs)) for your OH, I'm in the same boat with my family who completely ignore my birthday:mad::mad: I spent years buying them all presents (and spending quite a lot on them as well:mad:) until I came to my senses one year and decided "booger it"!!! Rethink definitely needed for you, I'd say xx

And PS - thanks, I'm really chuffed at my 7 in-a row xx

Will catch up with the rest of you tomorrow.

    'night everyone
    spoon xx

    Morning all!

#6 for me please! I only spent £4 for my zumba class and I had already put it aside. Really enjoyed the class, but I was so knackered after it, I came home, had a shower and generally pottered around all day.
My niece popped up last night with her BF and brought OH tons of sweets for his birthday (he is renowned for his sweet tooth!) He was delighted.
Plus the guys at work got him a birthday cake - can you picture it? All these big beefy guys on a building site having a wee bit of cake with their tea? Talk about getting in touch with your feminine side!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

As regards future present buying - I agree Spoon, this year we have said " Booger it" too. I will still buy for the kids but the adults can go sing for it. I have been saving vouchers for the kids and they will get those and some sweets ( or something small) for birthdays and at Christmas. I am NOT trailing round shops trying to find the "perfect" gift for people who couldnt give a toss! The classic was OH's son - it was his birthday in Aug. We hadnt heard a thing from him for about 6 months so we just sent him a card ( no money as usual, as in the past we have never got a thank you either). Boy, did that get a reaction! He phoned that night "just to check if we had sent money or not as he thought it might have been stolen in the mail!)
I'm sorry for the rant, and I hope you dont think Im a hard rotter, but I'm sick of being mucked about. My own family dont spend a lot on each other for presents ( it's just our thing) as a small, but thoughtful thing is the best gift!

Anyhoo, I feel better getting that off my chest!
Today will not be a NSD as doglet is off to the parlour for a hairdo and I need to go to Boot$ for moisturiser and various items for my hols.
Did I mention that I'm off on hols?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

This is where we're going - a cottage on this estate!
