You can get your credit score free - and get quidco. Just remember to cancel within the month.
I'm guessing that on a scale of 1 to 999 your score is under 300, which is where your problem comes from.
Okay ill try thisThrugelmir wrote: »Depends if you have been both accurate and honest with yourself.

What a post full of idiotic ignorance, I will be paying the mortgage/rent/service charge and bills out of my wages. and the mortgage advisior knows this.
The benefits are there as we are entitled to claim them as we have a new born baby on the way. And I work hard and pay my taxes so please do not post with such simple minded comments!
Do a full soa on rent/mortgage/bills etc on your own wage.0 -

You can argue about things until you are blue in the face. The only decision that matters is the mortgage lender's decision. If the man from Del Monte says yes then all is well. If he says no then you're stuffed, despite your protestations about how financially secure you think you are.Everyone is entitled to my opinion!0

Just read through this post as we have been going through a similar thing - Is the mortgage application just in your name? If it is in in yours & your gfs then she could be the problem?
Me & my OH did a joint motgage application on our new house and my credit rating came back as 999 - but I was still the problem as I have no credit cards, loans, store cards or any credit agreements to my name.
Have my fingers crossed for you x0 -
I am applying for the mortgage in my name alone but have declared my new born baby and my girlfriend will be living with me, we have a independant mortgage advisor with us now and if it comes back as refused from Santander she has told me not to worry, she has found some great deals elsewhere and she has no doubt she can sort me out, bit of positive news for once!
p.s. she did say that Santander are very tight on who they lend to, even the best buyers get thrown out the window.
She has found me deals with Halifax/Barclays/Woolwich, which all are cheaper and lower rates on a 5 year fixed rate, fingers crossed0 -
The account records on your credit report (with all three credit reference agencies) are updated once a month, so there is usually a lag between, for instance, paying off a loan and it showing on your credit report.
