To be honest I think you're a victim of the crackdown on the easy credit the banks and mortgage lenders used to grant.
Their criteria is just so tight now that it leaves even the most able behind.
I'm sure there will be a way around updating your credit profile with the bank. Hope you get your wish in time for the birth of your little daughter. :)

Needing to claim benefits to pay a mortgage doesn't inspire me with confidence.

What a post full of idiotic ignorance, I will be paying the mortgage/rent/service charge and bills out of my wages. and the mortgage advisior knows this.

The benefits are there as we are entitled to claim them as we have a new born baby on the way. And I work hard and pay my taxes so please do not post with such simple minded comments!

The mortgage advisor is not the decision maker for your application.

Have you drawn up an expenditure budget ? To see if the property is affordable considering that you will have 2 dependents to support.

Well, what is your credit score? Have you checked it yet?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

No I have not, Id rather not pay £15 to find out lol but I have looked at my credit report and I have 3 on going credit agreements which are hardly any money a month and 9 that are settled, so tbh im pretty sure its good. :)

Really got my fingers crossed for wednesday, cross your fingers for me too! ;)

You can get your credit score free - and get quidco. Just remember to cancel within the month.

I'm guessing that on a scale of 1 to 999 your score is under 300, which is where your problem comes from.
