Bulk LPG - Predicting Rate of usage and cost

Options
Hi

ive just moved into a property that has a shared Bulk LPG tank. I was wondering if there is any way of modelling how much it may cost to run per month.

what i am thinking of is working out how many m3 (the unit of measurement for our meter) the boiler will work, say on an hourly basis... If i assume a rate of utilisation of the boiler when its on (Say 80%) to get a price for heating our house for x hours in the morning and y hours in the evening.

can this be done? has anyone done it before?

  • There are so many factors to take into consideration but from experience of our old bulk [not shared] LPG tank budget £1 an hour for CH. Not Cheap!!! I've seen others reporting similar figures but as I say there are so many vaiables i.e size of house, insulation etc
