Yes, thats a damn good point as my garden is actually the same size and backs on to fields! They just didn't take a picture of two thirds of it, nothing wrong with it just didn't take a picture!

I think it may have been too easy for them to see that I was very busy elsewhere with work during this effort.

    hmmmm
I'd get them back to take more and different photo's as they've obviously not taken them to bring the house to reflect sizes. From looking it looks as if your garden is a lot smaller. Definately get them back, you're paying for it at the end of the day, so you should get a say. They sold the other people's and i'd tell them that also and show them the difference.

  • Definitely get a better garden pic then! I assumed yours ended after the decking and thought the other garden was brill.

No, the decking is 20X20' and the garden is 65' long!

I'll get them out in the morning.:D

Good idea as that could prove to be a good selling feature.

You are seeking about one fifth of a million pounds for that?

I think you seek the greater fool.

Good luck in the current economic climate.

Please post if I am wrong and I will eat my hat.

  • Your estate agent is truly rubbish. They take a few rubbish pictures and put up an uninspiring blurb. I'd sack them and get some that want to sell your property rather than boast about having a lot of houses on their books!

"Non-overlooked Rear Garden" - why not be more positive and talk about backing onto fields / open-countryside? It is a very dull listing and wouldn't get a second look from me I am afraid.

Thanks for your input, but as I mentioned earlier I'm not trying to get people to flatter me on my house , just ask opinions, the majority of which have been very useful.
I resent the "fool" comment as it is uncalled for, maybe this budget would buy you more in your area but this is pretty much the going rate around here for the type of house in question.

No, I haven't taken any great exception to it.

However, your astonishment at the asking price suggests that you are unfamiliar with the going rate of houses in this area. Therefore, I felt that particular comment was maybe not that well informed. You do go on to suggest that I may be foolish to expect to sell such a house for this amount.
Anyway, these are all your personal opinions and if you felt they were directly relevant then once again I thank you for your input but I would prefer to keep the focus on my house rather than my personal potential for foolishness.

Your post was in no way constructive, which is what the OP was asking. You told her "you want one fifth for that?!" that's not really a nice thing to say is it? And really not helpful, which is what the poster wanted, helpful discussions about her house. You may not like it, that's your right, but do you have to be rude to her? You're implying only a fool would pay that for her house, that's not constructive it's just either jealousy/pettiness/mean, take your pick.

Thank you very much for your reply:)

I should maybe mention that I am a he rather than a she, just to avoid any confusion:D
