i'd love to help. but not sure if i'd be good enough at doing it. i've read through the begining of this post and it seems really hard to do. is it ?

No, honestly, it isn't hard at all. Squeaky does the tricky stuff for you at the beginning so all you really have to do is collect the threads and put them in the collection.

Once you have done your first one you will see how straightforward it is, it's really a bit like knitting but not so intense! (For me anyway :o )

I'm not going to be much use to anyone until February but I'd be happy to get onto MSN then with anyone who would like some company while they have a go. icon7.gif
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

Thanks everyone. Right, it's been a long day and I can hear my pillow calling to me.

I'll edit the first post tomorrow morning to show confirmed indexes and authors, prospective ones that I just need the offerer to confirm, and then a list of volunteers who haven't chosen a subject with a mini list of indexes that they might like to choose from.

    G'night all :)

If you don't need things done super-fast, and you'll give me a set of instructions (and a helping hand if necessary!), I'll pitch in with a collection. Maybe the 'thanks OS' one you mentioned? I could probably spare a couple of hours a week if that's enough...

I will do gardening if that's OK, but realise that there are possible moves afoot to create a forum for gardening.

I won't be able to get cracking until my assignments are completed (end Jan) so perhaps by then we will have a decision regarding gardening forum v index?

Let me know when a decision has been made.

    Thanks

Not sure if I'll be any good at it, but I'll volunteer for a Kenwood Chef thread. That should be thistledown or toxic lemon's bag really as they are the experts in the subject - but I'm willing to try doing it and see how it goes, if it will help.

If I wasn't leaving I would put my hand up for *Insects And Other Pests. ;):D *.

It's really lovely to see so many of you all volunteering. Good luck with it all and what a great idea.

Once you've caught up that will be more than enough, honest :) About ten minutes I should think :)

There's no rush on doing these things - just knowing that they're moving along is a great help.
