  • finally half-sorted out my phone contract (been paying £25 a month and not using it since i moved to france 9 months ago, stupid me!), so i just called them now and went to the cheapest tariff available, saving myself £15 a month :) fully sorted would be switching to pay-as-you-go, but for a long list of reasons (mainly my stupidity:mad:) that's not possible at the moment.

anyway it's an extra £15 a month into my debts so mustn't grumble and it's going in my total :)

£10 on a scratchcard for me today. Im struggling to make anything. I have sold everything i can on ebay, so much so all I have left is paper bags from superdry store! There doesnt seem to be any surveys for me either :( My friend has beeged me to do some cakes for a wedding but thats not until october. I do have a backpayment for housing benefit im waiting for and a mileage claim in the pipeline so hopefully it'll come through before the months out. I have my social working coming round this afternoon, Im going to have to tell him my OH and I have seperated and im dreading it. Im really worried about what they'll say, think they will remove my foster daughter from me until im 'stable' Im going to have a hard job of convincing them im ok. :(

Best of luck Nat...not sure how those things work tbh...but I'd try to focus my language on the stability you're giving your foster daughter by her staying at least with you....granted you're going through a time of transition...but would personally think it would be more unsettling for the child to not only lose your partner but you and her home also.....

If you can stress that you and your ex parted fairly amicably (so they've not to worry about trouble etc) and that it was your choice and not just something which happened out of your control could help

Hope it all goes well xxxx

They won't necessarily take your foster daughter away, so long as they can see that you are stable at the moment. I know it's obviously much easier said than done, but you have to try and relax and not worry so much about telling them, as the more worried and anxious you feel about telling them, the more unstable you might come across. I'm sure they will have seen the situation several times before, and to be honest, the fact that you made the decision that he has to leave rather than allow him to stay when he was being aggressive etc - that just goes to show that you are capable of making the decisions that need to be made for the best. Obviously we only see a tiny snapshot of people we 'talk' with on here, but you have certainly not come across as unstable to me in what you have said and in your general outlook and attitude towards the situation.
Be honest with the social worker though as that will count for you as well.

Best of luck hun, and do be sure to let us know how you get on.
Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £170
  • Hi Everybody

Well I really have been lazy this month up to now so need to get sorted and put some effort in.

Up to now I have had a £60 credit from Virgin media as I had a problem with the service in one of their stores.

Also sold £11.50 of stuff on ebay on Saturday.

So total to date is £71.50

Nat, hope everything works out for you.

PM Fairyclicks, she maybe able to suggest some sites you are currently not doing.

with mcccains - don't forget to watch ALL the videos. I have them playing and do something else, just remember to click next. This includes the food videos. Not sure what we get for them but my totals are going up from "watching" them.
