Congrats to Aesop (belatedly
) on your exam and well done to all you supersavers this weekend...it's been great reading about all your carbooty escapades!
This weekend has been a slow one for me, just relisted 5 things on gumtree that I had posted on a local forum (didn't sell - so hoping gumtree might have more exposure)... loath to use ebay for 1 particular reason at the moment
That is that they're holding my cash....no idea why....21 days apparently...even though buyer has received item and given me feedback etc...which I've reciprocated...but still the cash is heldno fair!
So sticking with gumtree 'til it's either sorted or the stuff's soldx

Morning All
Good start to Mon and week. Have received car renewal from current Insurer and it has has gone DOWN !
I had already searched using the normal comparison sites and the cheapest I had found was £250.48 (which I thought was good as it was £270 last year) - renewal cam through at £239.88
So am counting that!

It is still worth having a little last look around now you have your renewal quote, as there are some that guarantee to beat it.
I think it may be First Direct (but it may be someone completely different, have a Google!!) who say they will beat it by 10%. Still another £24 almost less, which will make you smile even more
I've got profit of £7.27 from a matched bet yesterday, and got another £10 voucher from Consumer Pulse to add. Sold about 10 bits and bobs on Ebay over the weekend but not for much, but will wait until I've posted them to work out profits. Not looking forward to dragging everything to the Post Office in the rain!
Talking of rain, we finally did a Bootfair yesterday, well a little bit of one anyway. The big ones near us were cancelled, but there was a smaller one on so we thought well the car is packed so why not. There ended up being only about 25 stalls or so there, as opposed to hundreds at the bigger ones, and not all that many people looking round either, as opposed to thousands at the bigger ones!!!
We didn't do too badly though while we were there, got rid of a few bits that wouldn't have shifted on Ebay, but as it was starting to get busy the heavens opened and it bucketed down!! So we're madly trying to cover everything up and get it back in the car, while turning into drowned rats in the process.
I've spent yesterday afternoon and will spend most of today trying to get everything dry as I can't just leave boxes of damp clothes in the hallway or they will go smelly and manky
Really wish we hadn't bothered in the end, although did come away with an extra £41.20. Which, I guess wasn't bad for the time we were there, and that there wasn't many people, and we weren't asking a lot for things as we wanted the space. I am working this weekend so the next one we would be able to do is in 2 weeks time, but I am going to try try try in that time to shift if through other means - ie a local Facebook group for kids stuff, Friday Ad, Gumtree, Ebay etc so that the same thing doesn't just happen the next time with the rain!!!!
Sorry for such a rant ramble there, but I really was pee'd off about it!!Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -

Morning all
Im not sure whats going on with spud shillings, logged in last night and had 715, tried again this morning and they have shot up to 1800
200 more needed for a pay out, so close yet so far!!
I've decided to try and use all my 100 free ebay listings each month, so far have relisted 18 items that didn't sell over the weekend for 99p.
It roughly works out at around 60p per sale if they only sell for 99p but thats £60 per month extra.
Speaking of ebay ~ does anyone have any tips for getting photos into the discriptions? alot of catagories i used only allow one free picture
Betsie... Making savings makes mebut making extra money makes me :j+

I thought of something while out with my DS
oh passed my exam by the way! :j
do any of you take photographs? The scenic ones, ie landscapes, sunsets, sunrises, nature, etc. nice photographs?
there are some companies that buy photographs for using for various things and although money isn't huge, it is money.
Well done aesop :j:beer::TJan £10 a day £326.75/£3100
