Today has been a very testing day. I have decided to seperate from my OH after 3 1/2 years together, 2 of those have been frought with violence and anger from him. A few weeks ago we had the biggest arguement we have had and it ended in violence. We had a few weeks seperation and decidied to give it another go on the conditions that if he ever stepped over that line again, we would seperate permanently. Last night he did step over that line by forcefully pushing me(not awful but its the beginning of his agression) into a wall. I spoke to my son(7) today and he said that he's scared when OH comes home from working in London. That was the nail in the coffin, Im throwing the towel in. I came home today to a very happy OH who thought everything would be fine and when he realised I was serious it turned nasty again. My children are never around when it happens but im very aware that they hear it and I try so hard to keep it from them. I know your all probably thinking 'stupid woman, just leave him' and now I have. I fell in love with a kind gentle man who has turned angry and agressive over the years. I was holding out for him to come back but I realise he wont and I dont want to settle for second best. Financially I will be so much better off as he has a lot of debt and I dont owe a penny so that doesnt worry me. I wont be moving as I want the stability for my children and quite frankly, I love this house!

Sorry for rambling to you all, but needed to get it off my chest as I dont want to go public to friends/family as they arent to supportive and Im not strong enough yet to deal with ther remarks. (They are 'told you so/ lets slate him' friends/family)

Back to the challenge- not made any money but bought a 4 man tent from Sainsburys for a fiver in the sale instead of £24.99! Been after one for months so I can take the boy camping :D

Ar hun, didn't want to read and run. It sounds like you've done the right thing in your situation, I feel for you. How brave of you to come on here and post :o No, you don't deserve second best at all. It's nobody else's place to judge you hun, no one can say "stupid woman just leave him" cos none of us know the situation properly... you sound like you've followed your heart, be strong. Hugs xx

    Evening all :hello:

I have officially listed 22 ebay items since I decided to try and do about 200 between now and Christmas, right chuffed with my little self lol. I even got all giddy and added it to my sig :D

Have done another M M4gpie order today, £7 of stuff being sent. So will add that one with the t'other one when the cheques come.

Also sold some more stuff on ebay - had a little bit of a bidding war going on with a pair of girls trousers today, went for about what I paid for them 2 years ago, but hey ho :) don't people get silly with the bidding when an auction is ending.. I always set off with an amount in my head then put it as my max bid, that way if I get outbid I'm not at risk of paying over the odds for anything :o How tight does that make me sound :D

  • gosh nat21 what an awful thing to go through, and well done for being so strong, i know how hard it is to break up with someone in a situation like that. it's good that you feel you can come here for some support. sometimes friends and family just don't understand, but i'm sure it's just because they care about you, and to them it seems like a no-brainer - but they're not the ones who are in the situation. nice that you're planning to take your boy camping :):)

  • Excitement reaching fever pitch in the WR household - looks like I will complete my first ever Gumtree sale tomorrow night:j:eek::j

Not exactly a fortune, but hay ho, at least I will know that the system works and that I know how to use it!

While the item isn't fetching a fortune, it is quite bulky, so at least it clears space - I'll be able to walk from the back of the garage to the front in a straight line!

Keep up the good work, all!

If anyone is a "lurker" on this thread and thinks that they can't do it, have a go - you might surprise yourself. I have certainly surprised myself - and Mrs Wild_Rover as well!

Thank you guys, having a tough time with him tonight. He doesnt understand that our relationship has run its course and we should shake hands and walk away with dignity so he's been instigating fights all night. He really is stooping to the lowest levels of insults, even suggesting that when I was sexually assualted whilst on a night out 5yrs ago, I enjoyed it and asked for it. I dont mind though, im sat here knowing that theres something inside of me thats pushing me to walk away because its right and everyword he says confirms that. Like today, I went to council offices to tell them my change of circumstances. The whole time I was doubting if I was doing the right thing and maybe I should give it another go...but there was something inside me that made me go in and change my details because its the right thing. Probably because I had this with my ex too(!) that I know I need to walk. Thanks guys x
