  • Good morning everyone, its really great to see the totals so high so quickly this month. I hope we can all keep it up.

I had my paypal payment and amazon sales hit my account this morning totalling £27.99.

I've also got loads listed on ebay, which finishes in the next couple of days, some with bids on, so that should add another £44.43 to my total. I've got quite a few watchers on my other stuff so hopefully they will dig deep and bid high!!!
    October make £10/day currently £11.02

Thrifty, I've seen the Halifax reward thing a couple of times on this thread. What is it?

If you open a Halifax Rewards current account and transfer £1000 per month in (doesn't have to be salary, and you can transfer straight back out again), they will give you £5. Both hubby and I have these accounts, so that's £10 per month for just a few minutes work.

There's also a Halifax credit card (the "Clarity" one, I think) that gives you £5 if you charge at least £300 per month on it. Keep meaning to apply for one (or rather two -- hubby & I) of those as well, for another £10 per month.

  • I like fairyclicks' "10 things a day" challenge, and may do that tomorrow!

Go on and give it a go :) or if 10 seems too many then try 5! Sometimes when i'm feeling very low and demotivated and finding it hard to get going i start with 1 thing a day for a week! Also i like to do 10 unique things a day to help me get my brain going or i would just attempt 10 surveys and not really get anywhere....LOL but its up to you how you want to set your own rules ;)

hmmmm maybe i should do this as a separate challenge?? :D

    Hey Everyone,

It's been a great money making day for me so far. Was given a £10 gift voucher for doing someone a favour, received £4 back from Sainsbury's as I was over charged for two (identical) things - normally I wouldn't add this, but I very nearly left it as DS2 was in a horrible mood, screaming all around the store, I was cold and wet as it was raining this morning, and I just wanted to get home! Went to the car and put the shopping in, but thought 'that's 400 pennies I'm about to throw away!' so we went back in to get the refund. :D

I also saved myself some money last night - I bought DS1 6 pairs of school trousers from Tesco the other day (they come in twos, and I always buy 5 pairs so I don't have to worry about washing them mid week!). Didn't think to try them on as he has always just moved to the next size up each year. He was quite excited last night so tried his uniform on...:eek::eek: His trousers were so long they covered his feet! Even when standing on his tip toes!!! I had to find his old trousers (only bought them last June) which were a little too short and take down the hems. I did two pairs, so saved myself £7 (which is what they would have cost) - I'm going to add this as I would definitely have had to buy some more otherwise.

Bought two more 2 packs of school trousers from Sainsbury's this morning, thinking that they looked a much better size... they are the same size as his old trousers :(. So I'm back off to Sainsbury's now.... tape measure in hand!!! Wish me luck, lol.

Ooh yes, and before I forget... I reached payout on McCains!!! Was up to 845 points but looked through all of the recipes, printed them and watched the videos, I checked in last night and I had 2000 points!!! Couldn't redeem though :( they have to send you a verification code to your mobile, but I tried it 6-7 times last night and this morning but have never got a code through - anyone else had this trouble?
I've emailed them about it, so will hopefully hear something soon.

  • completely rubbish month for August with a £0 total - shame on me...
However, this month I am back in the swing of things, put me down for £10 a day, I know I am a bit late but better late than not at all I say.

I am listing oodles of bits and pieces on ebay and currently have 63 items and a total of 18 bids, got a whole loft full so I should be able to keep my self busy.

Anyone got any other tips as I only ever seem to add ebay totals to this page.

Might apply for the halifax account and set up a s/o in and out on payday and the day after or something.

    any other ideas?
    DFXmas ..........0/9734.68 :(:(
