  • Well done sparklysaver! Thats a lot to achieve in just a few days of the challenge - it does take a little time to get to cashout on most of the survey sites but when you get there its just a brilliant feeling :)

There are a couple of sites i would recommend that pay out quite quickly so will pm you the links as i don't think i'm allowed to post them on the forum - if anyone else wants them just shout :) the money will start coming in, just hold on in there ;)

Can I have your list too please fairyclicks?
I'm another newbie to survey sites
    Oct £10 a day challenge £225.19/£310
    Sept £10 a day challenge: £272.13/£300
    Debt £1951.97/£2154
  • Can you pm me the list as well please fairyclicks :D
    £20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j
    £20 a day May 2014 £108.45/£600
  • Go on and just do it!! its really not that hard honestly :)

please note you have to send item by recorded delivery to be eligible for paypal protection as a seller!! you can also be covered by getting a proof of posting at the post office though as you can claim costs with this if item gets lost in the post.

    :rotfl:

OK, thanks for this tip. Just been catching up after a long w/e caming. How does the paypal protection work? I sent a mobile phone by recorded delivery 3 weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. Can I get the money back through Ebay then? Was just about to start faffing with the post office forms. Thanks......

I am joining the challenge this month again after a hefty total last month but need to do some final adding up.:j
Mortgage (interest only :() 244,000; Credit card 12,500; Overdraft 2,100; Student loan 5,000; Overpaid tax credits:mad: 2,500 Total debts...much too much! 266,220 :embarasse
    August £10/day challenge 540/310
  • Hi Fairyclicks If you've got time I'd appreciate a little look at your list too please :)....see if there's anything I'm missing x
  • More items put on Gumtree but no sales yet......:( Trawl of local charity shops proved fruitless.

However, took some bags of old clothes/bedding for cash recycling and strolled out with £8 cash.

Tonight I will, as I have been doing for years, cut my own hair. I think that saves about £10. Signature duly updated!

Slightly ahead of schedule - but only slightly!!:j

Without going into details, I have a collection of items that I have quite a few multiples of, and this is maybe not the best time to dispose of them, (bottom of the market? Loads of people are hard up and could be selling off collectables - maybe this is the time to buy!) but they are doing no good to anyone sitting where they are. I'll see if I can shift the duplicates online.

  • Well, I'm still making very little progress on making actual cold, hard cash but have been signing up and surveying like a mad thing today (thanks fairyclicks!) and totals are starting to go up.......will hopefully have something to show for it all soon! :D

Actual money to add to the pot......... a whole 2p in interest. Can barely contain the excitement! :j:j:j

Also, am a wee bit embarrassed about this, but I'm going to a family party on Saturday night which my mum can't make because she's on her hols, so she phoned and told me she'd put "a wee penny" in my bank account today to treat the guests of honour to a drink .......... which is actually £50. I would normally tell her it's a lovely thought but she doesn't need to bother, but right now I'm not in the position to do that, so there's 50 slightly guilty quid to add to the total. :o

Got some watchers on my ebay listings too, so finger crossed for next week!

Well I finally have some more money to add... £2.70. DS1 found two £1 coins in the car, they were in the front passenger side so must have fallen out of someone's pocket when they were getting out - don't know who, so can't return them :p The 70p is from TCB, it's been lying there for a while so thought I might as well - I'm also getting desperate as I don't seem to be getting anywhere this month :o Plenty of time left though.

I've got a few things ready for ebay tonight, so will hopefully get them on, also making progress with surveys although the only one ready for cashout is Mysurvey. I've been trying to save it up though as I will put the money to much better use if I get a big chunk rather then a few quid here and there that tends to get get frittered away.
  • I have made £152 so far, mostly from a second job that I do from home but a little from survey sites. :j

Wow, this thread is moving so quickly, I cant keep up!!
Everyone is doing so well, I am amazed at the amount of ebay listings. :j
Thanks for all the tips for survey sites, I am signed up to quite a few but it takes soooo long to get anything back. Thanks to Aesop I am also signed to Mcains and up am to 405 so might get my voucher before Xmas :D

This is what I have managed so far.....£7.81 Ebay, £20 expenses, £2.55 interest (saved money to pay bills later) and I have finally been able to get £16.83 paid into my account from TCB :j £47.19 so far.

Going to read back to pick up more tips and motivation to get to target this month, it would nearly clear my 2nd CC, so after that final one to attack x
