Long time challengers will know im a complusive gambler, i haven't gambled for 8 months now and was pretty pleased with my progress.

Has stupid has it sounds, with the thoughts of OHs Job worries on my mind, which i posted about earlier today, while out this morning ive blown £40 on £5 scratch cards...im devastated, not at the money so much more at the action of out of being out of control & gambling thinking im going to win bigand save the day!
I feel like punching myself in the face!! Grrrr im so mad with myself.

Transferred £40 out of PP this morning so i think thats why i stopped at £40 knowing that money will hit my account in a few days.

Im going to take my sorry !!! over to the Gamblers and ex gamblers thread to fess up, feel like such a hypocrite its only been a few day since i was posting advice to someone about putting blocks in place to stop herself from gambling ~ !!!!!! :(

    MissKT

As the others have said, you're only human. You know you shouldn't have done it which is good, it's not as though you have no remorse as the first thing you did afterwards was come on here to tell us :A

Well done for your honesty, if the world was full of people like you that admitted when they'd f'kd up, it would be a better place :o

Hugs to you misskt, I agree with everything sweetpeas said. You've made a slip, but with your honesty and determination I'm sure you'll pick yourself up and do even better next time. I'm not a gambler, but have been working on anger management which I find really hard. Most days are ok, but some times I lose my temper so badly, and then feel nothing but shame and disgust at myself. But those feelings of worthlessness only end up reducing my self esteem, making me more likely to get angry again due to lack of feeling in control. In short: be kind to yourself, as if you were your own best friend.

Has soon as OH got up, i faked a headache and have spent most of the day in bed, tossing and turning until i fell asleep, i felt too guilty to face him, ive decided against telling him as it will only cause a massive arguement.
Ended up having a naughty dream about my 1st boyfriend  :o
which only mad me feel even more guilty when i woke up!!

I'll be ok tomorrow, i not doing anything money related at all today, but will be back on my money making track tomorrow :)

  • Brutally slow weekend - still, £10 from the national lottery helps:j!

Had a H*ll of a job resurrecting my ebay and paypal accounts. Also been locked out of Edinburgh Gumtree - password won't work, reset password emails don't work and the "help" system is down too:mad:!

    Still, up and attem, eh:D!

£5 coming my way - winnings from Sunday night :D

Only managed to list 7 items over weekend, don't know where the weekend vanished to if I'm honest. Anyway, got a few bids and plenty watchers already so fingers crossed will get some pennies from my tiny effort :o
Might withdraw my paypal balance after these few items have ended so that I'm not tempted to spend it, it has crossed my mind a few times already :o

MissK... Well done on admiting you had a problem. And thankyou for sharing with us. A problem shared is a problem halved as they say! I have an addiction to cigarettes. Different to yours i know, but an addiction all the same! Mine is chucking away money and putting me in an early grave considering i'm only 29. Anyway, stopped for a little while, was doing well, then with the stressed i've had this weekend i smoked last night. I've only let myself down, but i'm not mad with myself. Please don't be mad with yourself. That just puts you under greater preasure which in my opinion, only makes this harder to beat!

Good luck Miss K.... You had the strength to get through 8 months before, and i KNOW you can do it again! :T:T:T:T:T

I can refer people to Nielsen (like shop and scan) but takes longer to accrue points for rewards, and more fiddly than shop and scan. You have to type in quantity, value, method of payt used, promotion.

But hey ho, it all adds up. :)

pM if you are interested before my post gets deleted :D

Aesop....Is there anything you aren't into? :rotfl: I'm guessing you will have had a lot of response to this, and if you have any invites left (not sure if it works like that) then i'd love one! Not to worry if not tho.

Anyway...back to topic. NOTHING to add. NADA. ZERO. ZILCH.

Better get my finger out... Its been a rough few days! :rotfl:
