  • I'm getting into this whole £10 per day thing now....my good day of saving has probably helped. :D

I got 20 x Shower Gel at 38p each instead of the £1.89 they were the other week saving: £30.20
I also got 2 pairs of Straighteners for my girls, full price originally £49.95 (now £24.95 on website) for £5 each saving: £88.90

I've also sold about £300+ worth on eBay this month.

I think I may join properly next month after having a nice time reading this last week.
You have to start to finish.

I seem to have hit a brick wall with this :(, Night shifts have left me a bit out of the loop with everything.

However, over the last 2 weeks I haven't paid any train fare back and for to work as someone living by me also works these hours and has given me a lift and refused to take any petrol money that I have offerred her as she claims she does this trip daily anyway. Can I add the money saved on train fares (minus a bottle of wine & chocs or something to my temporary lift-giver!)?

Aw i used to work night shifts and its like being in a different dimension alright! Are you on nights all the time? I worked 3 nights on 4 nights off then swapped for the following week for about 3 years.....

I would certainly add the saved money to your pot - after all its money you wouldn't normally have ;) Nice of her to not take any petrol money etc - its always good to hear of people just being nice :)

Bet that £500 Maternity Grant will come in very useful NatterJack! Make the most of it by still shopping around for the best prices on the things you need though so that it goes as far as possible! It can be all to easy sometimes to think Oooh i've got this 'free money' to spend and not give it as much throught as hard earned money!

I've got £30 to add today from a MS payment. It was technically a reimbursement only payment, but was shopping that I would have bought anyway so saved me most of the weekly shop that week so I'm adding it!! :D
Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £170
  • Ok so not a bad start to the day:)

£4 from my Mum, i had some of that black weed cover stuff in the shed, i said she could have, but she insisted on paying what i had paid for it.

£6 from a refund at tescos, Now i wouldn't normally add a refund, but it was for a sports bra that was like some sort of torture device!!
Usually i would of just chucked it with it being a under garmet, but tried my luck for a refund and they gave it :)

2p road kill & wombled a 5p off fuel voucher, i had to pop some petrol in as it goes so saved another 55p :D

I make that £10.57 :T All in all a good start to the day :D
